It’s really exciting to be the only retailer of It Cosmetics in the UK. If you, like me, have always found CC creams a little bit underwhelming, then be prepared to be pleasantly surprised.
Their Full Coverage SPF50 CC Cream has definitely been one of my products of the season that has really impressed me. It’s outperformed my expectations of a traditional CC cream, and now you can get it with free postage throughout March.
For a start, it gives great coverage. I am, personally, best with Fair at home and Medium at work (it might be an idea for you to take advantage of this month’s offer, and buy your summer shade early, so you can blend together to create a transitional colour).
Infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid, and vitamins, when applied to bare skin, it dries down to a velvet-to-matte finish and can just as effectively be applied with fingers or a brush. I like to apply and massage on like a cream first, and then just give a buff to finish. If you like a gentler coverage, apply with a brush only, and if you require a fuller coverage, put a second coat on.
An oilier or spottier skin would prefer to use this on its own, directly after cleansing, or (if required) after your normal, mattifying primer or matte-finish day cream. On the other hand, a drier skin may wish to put this on after their morning skin regime, to achieve a more moist, dewy and plump look to the skin. If required, you can add concealer and a finishing powder, like their Bye Bye Under Eye and Bye Bye Pores.
The SPF50 is obviously fantastic and great for spring time, however if you want guaranteed protection, put it on top of an all-day SPF like Ultrasun. Put your Ultrasun on first, and leave for 10 – 15 minutes until it is set into the skin i.e.: go and have breakfast, then put the CC Cream on top.
I would particularly recommend this CC Cream for sensitive or allergy-prone skin, especially as during the last few months my skin has been inflamed and this has been a real refuge. Its lovely, comforting formula provides SPF and physical weather protection. It’s been very easy to build the cover when I require it, by putting on subsequent layers even later on in the day.
Top tip: you can also apply this cream to the lids as it’s a great corrector for discolouration in that area. After application, use a cotton bud to go through your eyebrows and wipe over your lips to bring back your natural definition and colour. If you’re finishing off with eye make-up, use a shadow brush to apply Bye Bye Pores onto your lashes. This absorbs any excess oil and helps to extend your mascara or eye liner wear.
There’s a fantastic range of shades on offer for you to choose from, but finding your perfect match can seem a bit daunting. Watch the clip below to see me and Will go through each option and explain which skin tone they’re most suited to.

Our Supersize Product of the Month: Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial
Sarah’s Overnight Facial is much more than a blended aromatherapy oil. It actually includes scientifically-proven, anti-ageing peptides (such as dermaxyl) with vitamin A; for those that like a hard-hitting ingredient for ageing. However, it’s blended with omegas, jasmine and rose to give a texturally and aromatically-pleasurable product that packs a powerful punch.
While you have this supersize, lavish both your face and neck and – for those of you that have a dry eye area like me – even close up to the lashes area every night. For drier skins, try putting it on a couple of times in the evening once you get home, to give a starting boost.
Top tip: Apply before you go into the shower, bath or sauna to help safeguard the dehydrating effects of hot water. To increase results, exfoliate 2 – 3 times per week. This will allow the ingredients to absorb more efficiently and you will see greater results. If you do have very aged skin, you can apply over serums and eye products. Massage any product left over on your hands into your cuticles and the backs of the hands, for the anti-ageing benefits.
