Lulu Guinness Today’s Special Value for Fashion Day!!

Hi everyone,

Fashion day is upon us and it's a very big day we have planned, too! We have some HUGE brands in the line up such as Bob Mackie, Kipling and Skechers to name but a few.

Lulu Guinness will be launching us into sunday alongside myself at midnight with a Today's Special Value which I personally think any girl will adore. I recently purchased a very similar bag  from her range (same shape & size but slightly differing closure details) and it has been worth every single penny I paid for it. All £170! Incidentally that bag has received nothing but 5 star reviews on QVCUK.COM!

I love that it's a small bag as I already have a few large Lulu bags. It's just the right size for going out in the evening when you only need make up essentials, your purse and a mobile phone. Having said that it is tardis like and so much more capacious than other evening bags I have owned which you can't even fit everything into! It has a really useful 2 way chain which allows it to be carried over the shoulder or across the body. It's real patent leather in a choice of colours and you'll be saving well over £30 by buying at the special price.

I took a few piccies to show you the one I've been trialling;

038  040 041

Isn't it tardis like? I have my not really small Lulu patent purse in there, my iphone, my Laura Geller minis of balance & brighten and blush & brighten for touch ups, my Bobbi Brown full size face brush, a comb for me barnet, my Jemma Kidd lippy, my L'Occitane mini hand cream and room to spare as you can see in the middle pic!!

The best thing of all is the timelessness of this bag. It will be the only evening bag you ever need as the quality is there, too. That doesn't mean you won't be tempted by more but if you could resist then this is all you need, hee hee!

Lulu is famous for her exquisite bags and accessories, has a huge celebrity following, numerous awards and even an OBE from Her Majesty the Queen for services to British fashion! Isn't it wonderful that we have her at QVC?

I hope you can share fashion day with us and please do comment on our TSV and Lulu in general. I'd love to hear from you.

Love Catherine x

    Hi Carolyne,
I’m so glad you’ll be with us for the launch! I’m tremendously excited as always..I just think this is the best Lulu TSV so far as there’s such longevity in a purchase like this!
I hope you enjoy the show and all the bags but even more than that I wish you a wonderful with your daughter on her very special birthday. It’s just so amazing how fast they grow up! A milestone of a birthday, too 🙂
See you (well, you’ll see me really but I’ll know you’re there, hee hee) on telly at midnight!

    Hi Catherine.
Really enjoyed seeing you with Lulu. I spent a small fortune, oops! I didn’t go for the TSV but the large patent Wanda in black and the large Romilly in Grey. My first foray into LG but I doubt my last! I also ordered the black patent purse (sadly not with QVC) that you have, have had my eye on it for some time but thought I simply must have it now to match Wanda!! I loved your dress on the TSV launch, is it a QVC brand by any chance? Love, Natasha xx
Oh no, just switched on again and Pippa is on with Maxx NY 🙁 I can’t look, I must stop buying bags!!!

    Hello Catherine
You had a black/white dress on on Sunday, (fitted with a slightly raised collar) which I thought was really lovely – any chance you could let me know where you got it from please (hopefully qvc)

    Hi Catherine
I havent apoken to you before, but thought I would say “Hi” Have been a QVC customer since almost the start. I remember the original pink packaging for my Liz Earle favourites, and got a pair of diamonique earrings from the 2nd ever show. I wear them almost everyday, and just adore them. I wore them on my wedding day and they sparkle in all the photos.
I LOVED the Lulu Guinness shows, ALL of them. I have the red TSV on waitlist, so hopefully I will be lucky enough to get it.
I havent been able to work for the last 2 years, so money is a bit tight at the moment. As the TSV was on easy pay, it made it a wee bit easier. Ive been hankering after a Lulu bag for AGES, before she even came to QVC, but this is my first purchase. Like the other lady, it will absolutely NOT be my last!! My husband, son and daughter, have said they will club together and get me a bag and purse for my 50th next April. So I have a bit of time to decide what I want. I LOVE the more “wacky” designs, was so envious of the lady who called in and said she had 40! If I get my TSV, then maybe a larger bag, maybe at some point I can get one of the shopfront ones at another time!!
Also wanted to comment on the dress you wore for the TSV launch. Its just lovely.
I enjoy watching all your shows Catherine.Especially Lulu Guinness and Kipling, you are positively jumping with excitement, LOL and its obvious how much you love the products you are selling.
    Take care

    Hi Natasha,
Great to hear you enjoyed fashion day. Delighted that you are now a Lulu fan, too! Do let me know what you think now you probably have them with you. My large wanda bag goes everywhere with me and I can put smaller bags in there, too. It is like a tardis! I probably even put it through far more than it was designed for and it still stands up to all the wear & tear so a great investment.
I got a lot of questions about my’s actually Karen Millen in the sale not too long ago so may still be around. I lost a few pounds so I simply had to prise myself into it for Lulu’s TSV launch! I thought it went perfectly with her style of bags. Kind of structured, unusual and with a nod to 50’s tailoring!
Hope you enjoyed the rest of the day and managed to sit on your hands if you needed to!
    Much love,
    Catherine x

    Hi Pam,
Thanks for the kind words about the dress. You may have seen my reply already as other people have asked about it. It’s from Karen Millen and I got it in the sale not too long ago so it may still be available. Oh how I wish we had KM at QVC. I think my bank manager would be tearing his hair out if we did though as there’s no way I’d be able to resist easy payments or TSV prices with their dresses!!
Hope you get one, chat soon!

    Hi Una,
How great to hear from you. I really enjoyed reading a bit about you. So nice to hear that we were even a part of your very special wedding day through Diamonique! How fabulous. I always say we should have a Diamonique brides show as so many people shoose it for their day. I adore mine and wear it pretty much every day.
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been unable to work and things are tight just now. I do hope things start to improve in that area for you. It does help when we have easy payments. It sounds as though you are rich in family and that’s priceless. How sweet of them to club together for you! I do hope you will one day have your quirkier Lulu bag. I must admit I’d absolutely love to have one of her Swarovski covered ‘lips’ clutch bags. We don’t sell them on QVC but that’s what I’d ask my fairy bagmother for! Hee hee, addicted? Me? Oh yes!
You must let me know what you choose for your very special fab at 50 birthday when the time comes!
Thanks for the kind comments about my dress and also my shows. I do love being at QVC so much and actually seem to get a bit down if I’m away for too long, I love it that much! Hopefully I’ll stay for years and years and Lulu Guinness just as long!
Thanks again for writing in, I really loved reading your message.
    Love Catherine x

    Hi Catherine
Was lovely of you to reply.
You are absolutely right. I am very rich, in that, I have an amazing family. I am in complete awe of my children. They sometimes astound me in what they have achieved.
I was a single parent for a while, and was determined that they would grow up, as well rounded decent human beings. I was ABSOLUTELY NOT going to have someone say ” ah, they went astray. From a broken home” I wont say it was easy, but we managed. They have both been to uni. My daughter travelled a lot, and met her husband in Korea, where she worked for a couple of years. They now have the most GORGEOUS little girl, whom I just dote on. Unfortunately they live abroad, so I dont see her as often as I would like. Which might be a good thing, as she would be ridiculously spoiled!!!
My son is working hard after having graduated, and they are both lovely people.
I am surrounded by very good friends too. I really dont know what I would have done without them since Ive been ill.
Anyway, BACK TO THE BAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will definately let you know which Lulu bag I go for. I have no doubt it will be from QVC. I know the bag you mean. I have ogled many websites!!! How gorgeous. You never know, you may find your fairy bagmother is generous one of these days, lol.
Its easy to see you love your job. Just keep doing what youre doing.
    Take care Catherine

    Hi Una,
How inspiring to read about you & your wonderful family. I hope it inspires others who may read this.
I can identify so much with what you say about your children. Mine are everything to me too and I wanted them to go so much further than I did and have chances I didn’t. They are both incredible! I couldn’t be more blessed with my children.
I’d better dash away again now but look forward to chating again soon.
Much love to you & your family,
    Catherine xx
