You may have seen on other presenters blogs, a wee sneaky preview of our luggage TSV coming up next Thursday. I for one am totally impressed. Quite apart from the amazing amount it holds neatly and conveniently, and quite apart from the ease of wheeling it around airports and train stations on its 4 wheels, and also quite apart from the amazing sturdiness of it… IT LOOKS AMAZING!!!!!!!!
I promise you there are other design options available other than the one in the photos, but if you choose a "lively" one like I did, you need never worry again about spotting your suitcase coming off the conveyer belt at the airport!! No more tying of bits of ribbon on!!
Just on that note, anyone got any interesting luggage stories? I have two. Well stories anyway. Not sure they're that interesting 🙂 On one occasion at Glasgow airport my case arrived open and virtually empty. I then had to hang around for what seemed like an eternity in order to retrieve all my "items" of luggage much to the amusement of other travellers!! At seventeen years old, I was seriously contemplating leaving the country (but maybe with a better quality piece of luggage)!!
Remember the clouds of ash causing mayhem with flights in 2010? Well we were stuck in Dubai, and before you all cry in unison that it's hardly a problem being stuck over there, trust me, daily it was costing us an absolute fortune. I was panicking like a panicker about my brother, and my husband was watching his business potentially go down the drain! Anyway, back to luggage!! We managed to get on a flight going via Timbuktu (not really, it was Frankfurt).
When we finally got back to Heathrow, our luggage had disappeared. We were told it could take up to a month or longer given the current crisis to get our cases back. Disaster all round (but mainly because one of the boys had his hair straighteners in a case!!!). About a week later I got a call saying that one of the suitcases was going to be returned later that day. Well of course being the totally unselfish individual that I am, I'm praying that it's mine. What turned up? The case that had all the boys' dirty washing in it!!!!!!! Life eh?
Do feel free to share your own luggage stories, thereby ensuring that I don't develop a "why me" complex ! Oh by the way, the random photo of the poinsettia is just to let the world know that I can water a plant and have it survive since Christmas under my "not-so-green" fingers!!
Take care you lovely people, Anne xxx
