L’Occitane expert shares her beauty tips for new mums

Alexis from L'Occitane Hi everyone, it's Alexis here from L'Occitane.

As you may already know, I gave birth to a bouncing baby girl, Millie, back in October and I thought I'd share some beauty tips for new or expectant mums. Dry, tired skin is always a cause for concern so here are a few tips to help keep your skin in tip-top condition…

After having Millie my skin really needed some TLC, so I started to use the L’Occitane Fabulous Serum. I have been applying the Fabulous Serum every morning and evening on my face and neck, before my moisturiser and on clean dry skin. I instantly saw great results! This has revitalised my skin due to its amazing plumping powers. My tired skin now looks radiant; this product has become my life saver.

Upcoming Toady's Special Value from L'Occitane The shea butter soaps that are included in Saturday's TSV (26th February) are an essential bathing product for me. They leave my skin feeling really cleansed and beautifully scented. With the option of three different fragrances (Vineyard Rose, Orange Honey and Apricot Flower) I am spoiled for choice! The soaps contain 5% shea butter; therefore my skin feels really moisturised after my bath.

L'Occitane Almond Milky Veil 250ml Applying the Almond Firming & Beautifying Milk Veil after my bath leaves my skin feeling extremely soft. The almond proteins make my skin smooth whilst leaving it deliciously scented. The micro pearls in the milk veil give a beautiful glow, which leaves my skin looking amazing. After having a baby, all the benefits of this milk veil are a definite must!

L'Occitane Fleur Cherie EDT My current favourite perfume is the Fleur Cherie Eau de Toilette. This is a beautiful warm, floral, orange blossom-inspired fragrance which is great for any occasion as it is fresh yet sensual and delicate yet rich. Millie likes it on Mummy too! As soon as she smells Fleur Cherie she knows I’m nearby.

L'Occitane Hand Cream Duo The one product I could never leave the house without is the Shea Butter Hand Cream. As a mother I am constantly cleaning up after the children and washing my hands, therefore my hands can become really dry. But with this product my hands feel instantly moisturised as it is enriched with 20% shea butter. With its lovely rich texture that quickly absorbs into the skin, I can truly understand why this is a best-seller for L’Occitane.

I hope you enjoy the L'Occitane Today's Special Value offer on Saturday 26th February.

    Hi Alexis
My son bought me the Fabulous Serum for Christmas and I have to agree with you that it has made a noticeable difference to my skin.
The texture is rich but not greasy and it has been so comforting during these long cold months! Love it! Cant wait for Saturday’s TSV – I love Loccitane! Jan x

Hi Alexis, I will certainly be treating myself to the tsv on Saturday as I love the collection. I like the hand cream and foot cream which I use from time to time especially as I am rather busy these days looking after an ailing mother…Talking of which it’ll be a great pre-Mothers Day gift as well.

I would also like to thank you for introducing me to this range as its one I would possibly not have considered in the past.
