Lilies everywhere!

Craig with his Calla lilies Hiya!

How is your garden looking at the moment? Must say mine is not looking quite as I had hoped, too many weeds and not enough flowers - I guess the lack of sun is something to do with it!

Fressia lilies in Craig's garden The flowers that are thriving though are my lilies and I love them! I'm a bit of a lazy gardener and I know I don't keep on top of feeding or watering as I should, but my lilies just never let me down.

In the photos you can see three-year-old freesia lilies which get better every year, and then look at my tree lilies which are in their second year and are an amazing eight feet tall with the biggest flowers I have everCraig's amazing tree lilies  seen!!

At the top of my post you can also see me with my calla lilies which were a TSV a few weeks back and are already flowering beauifully. I'm not about to win any awards for my garden but the lilies are certainly helping me save me face with the neighbours!!

How is your garden looking? Would love to see some pics or hear stories!

Take care Craig I had a garden full of lilies for a couple of years till the dreaded lily beetle attacked most of them, did find a spray this year seems to have worked on my remaining tree lilies but afraid I will have to dig the rest up come autumn.
    Love Pauline.
This is my first post to you in case you are wondering who I am.

    Hi Craig
Your lilies are just beautiful! They are my favourite flowers, and this May on my 50th birthday my husband bought me the biggest bouquet of Lilies.I didn’t throw them away until 3 weeks later. They just looked and smelt so lovely. Are they quite easy to grow as I would love to get some for my garden although up here in Scotland the weather is not as kind as yours.Lol. Take Care Craig x

hi Pauline! Thanks for posting for the first time, its lovely to hear from you :)
Sorry to hear about the dreaded lily beetle, I had lots that that too but I used the Plant Invigorator on it that comes in a kit with flower power and root booster. It did the job perfectly and I had no problems after that. Maybe you could try that next year.
Thanks again and take care, Craig x

hi Sylvia and happy belated birthday for May! Oooh, your lilies sounded divine and yes, they last really well dont they? As far as I know you can grow lilies anywhere in the UK, bulbs are much hardier than plug plants arent they?
If you ever catch me on QVC with Richard Jackson just call or text in and remind me and I will ask him for you.
Thanks for posting a comment! Much love
