We love our food here at QVC, almost as much as we love the sunshine! And what better way to celebrate the two than cooking up a feast of healthy, quick and tasty food influenced by the sunny flavours of the Caribbean, all brought to us by the charismatic chef, musician and entrepreneur Levi Roots!
You probably already know Levi from his memorable appearance – guitar in hand – on hit TV show Dragons’ Den, where he secured the support of two Dragons with his delicious Reggae Reggae sauce. This delightful mix of barbeque and jerk sauce was inspired by his grandmother Miriam Small who taught him how to cook from the age of nine in Clarendon, Jamaica.
Levi went on to achieve phenomenal success with his range of sauces, ready meals, drinks and snacks, and is still a regular face on TV cookery pieces. He will be joining us on Monday 5th August during The Morning Show at 9am (hopefully outside at the barbeque – fingers crossed for good weather!), to bring you Grill it with Levi – a book jam-packed with over 100 delicious, sunshine-infused recipes.
In this book, Levi gets back to his roots with a collection of Caribbean-influenced recipes that are perfect for cooking on the barbecue, or inside when the weather’s not so sunny. He cooks up a feast with fresh, healthy ingredients that have been given a special West Indian twist – think Chicken with Molasses, Sugar and Lime, Calypso Burgers with Tropical Salsa and Jamaican Snapper Parcels, all washed down with a Sunshine Smoothie.
So don’t forget to join us this Monday at 9am to learn more from the man himself and bring the sunshine back to your kitchen.
