Thank you all for your fab questions – there were so many that it's taken me a little while to answer them! I will be posting answers up throughout this week and next so keep a look out for them…
Q. Hi Keeley, I'm new to Elemis. I have sensitive skin with red patches on my face that are very dry. What do you think I should use? Michelle
A. I would definitely suggest using the SOS Emergency Cream as a moisturiser morning and evening. Also, a month's course of Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules would be good to use underneath the moisturiser, if possible, to really get to the heart of the problem.
Q. Hi Keeley, I desperately need something for the bags and wrinkles under my eyes! I'm 38 and have tried the Absolute Eye Serum, but didn't notice any change. The wrinkles are under my eyes and are really getting me down Rachel
A. Hello Rachel, I would use the Pro Collagen Eye Renewal and twice a week the Absolute Eye Mask. I also find once or twice a week gently massaging over the eye area with Gentle Rose Exfoliator is excellent too.
Q. Hi Keeley, I am a staunch Prai user and have been happy with the product thus far – however in the last 6 months I have noticed red areas on the bridge of my nose and since I turned 44 I just feel I may need something with more levity in the cleansing/toning department. I think I have dry skin with areas of what I presume to be rosacea. Could you give me a skin prescription or a pointer please? I want to continue to take serious care of my throat, decollete and eyes. Hazel
A. I would definitely invest in our new Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser and Apricot Toner, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, Oxygenating Night Cream, Pro Collagen Eye Renewal and Pro Collagen Neck and Bust morning and evening. Twice a week it is essential to exfoliate with Papaya Enzyme Peel and follow with Pro-Collagen Quartz Lifting Mask that can be left on overnight too.
Q. Hi, Keeley, I'm 23 and have mild-severe acne – what products would you advise? I'm thinking of trying the Tri-Enzyme range, what do you think? Miss Chauhan
A. I would certainly go for the Tri-Enzyme System with the basics of Lime Blossom Cleanser and Lavender Toner too.
Q. I am 49 and believe I have open pores. Can you suggest a suitable product for me? Jackie Cooke.
A. Pores can not be reduced in size but it is important that they are kept cleansed well with a cleanser specific to your skin type and always tone after. When exfoliating, always apply a facial mask directly afterwards. The new Visible Brilliance Serum really seems to help with the appearance of open pores – use after cleansing before moisturising daily.
Q. Hi Keeley. I'm desperate! My skin is nightmarish. I'm trying to use the Tri-Enzyme wash and serum and following with Pro-Collagen Marine Cream, but not sure if it's right for me. I've horrendous hard, red, lumpy spots along my jaw line, very open pores on my nose, yet my nostrils get very dry.
My skin is constantly shiny with the exception of my cheeks. I've got broken capillaries along my cheek bones, terrible dark circles and droopy eye lids! Where do I start? Anti-biotics from doc didn't help. I don't think it's acne as sometimes my skin clears. I just don't know what to do. I'm 38 and on medication for epilepsy. Kirsty.
A. It really sounds like you are using the correct products with the Tri-Enzymes. It's important to make sure that you are still cleansing before with Lime Blossom Cleanser and using Lavender Toner after the Tri-Enzyme Facial Wash. Sometimes when the skin is angry you could use the SOS Emergency Cream as a moisturiser and you can also use Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules under Tri-Enzymes as a month's course and this will help too.
Q. Hi Keeley, my eyelids are beginning to look slightly hooded, what is the best product for me to use? I am 38. Thanks, Popsy.
A. I definite ly suggest using Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal morning and evening.
Q. I've been using Rose cleanser, Ginseng toner and Pro-collagen cream for a few months. Recently my skin has felt very dry and with these red spots that feel more like dry patches but take ages to go. I've had them before and wonder if it's hormonal – I'm 50 and menopausal! I tried using the sos cream but doesn't seem to help. I also occasionally use the Tri-Enzyme facial wash. Sharon.
A. Hello, it maybe that you need to do half a month of the Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules as it sounds like the skin is a little stressed. Also the Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream may help too.
Q. I'm 23 but have started to notice deep horizontal forehead lines. I currently use Cleanse/Polish cleanser and moisturiser, coupled with a high street brand that targets deep wrinkles and I have increased the amount I exfoliate (up to three times a week with just a vitamin E scrub) but I am not noticing much improvement. It's difficult to strike up a balance between anti-wrinkle formulations and my (still at 23) acne prone forehead! What would you recommend? Sam
A. You need to make sure that you are not taking too much out of the skin, exfoliating three times seems slightly too much. You could introduce Pro-Collagen Marine Cream on an evening or even every other evening. It's so super lightweight that you will not even feel that it is an anti-ageing product as it has great balancing ingredients too.
