February has been a bit rubbish for me, I’ve been on a course of Steroids and they are horrid. I’ve never been on them before and for anyone on these long-term, I think you’re amazing. My moods have been crazy, my appetite insane, my skin dry, my eyes twitchy and I’ve not been sleeping well… it has been no fun at all. Thankfully it’s not a long term plan for me and I hope to be done with them soon.
To cheer myself up I’ve treated myself to some home pampering. I started with the Liz Earle Deep Cleansing Mask, you can get this as a duo at the moment, so if you wanted to split this with your mum for Mother’s Day she’d love it! And as you know I’m never far away from my Philip Kingsley Elasticizer treatment.
As always my hair felt lovely afterwards and my skin silky soft. A few days later I noticed that my skin was actually quite congested so I used my Tula Exfoliating Mask. It worked a treat! My blackheads were gone and my skin felt beautifully soft. I finished off with the Tula Volume Defence Deep Wrinkle Serum and their Hydrating Day and Night Cream, you can get the set with all three here. My skin feels velvety smooth, and looks great, it really is a great range, and revolutionary as it’s a pro-biotic for your skin.
The reviews online are mixed for this, but the great thing about QVC is our 30 day money-back guarantee. If you try this range and it’s not for you, you can send it back. Skincare is so personal, it’s impossible to say this will work for all. I have sensitive skin, prone to congestion, especially with all the make-up we wear at work. For me the hero in the set is the mask, so if you’re happy with your serum and cream, but are noticing some blackheads around the nose, or congestion perhaps just try the mask.
If you’ve been kindly reading my blogs you’ll know I’ve been using the Revitalash set, and all the make-up artists at work have been commenting on how much my lashes have grown, but for me the wow has been my eyebrows! I’m getting new growth where hairs haven’t grown for many years due to over plucking. I’m really really happy!
We always have a live show Mon to Fri at 6pm now on QVC Beauty, and the other night it was a full hour of Liz Earle. On the show we had some of their beautiful Botanical Essence fragrances and driving home I kept smelling this one fragrance that we’d had on the show, Number 100. It has gorgeous freesia, ylang-ylang, rose-scented geranium and more. It’s a great day to night scent and I really love how it softens throughout the day too.
If you saw the accessories show on QVC Style last week, we had this beautiful Roccobella scarf from Pia Rossini. Over 100 sold in just a few minutes and as soon as the show finished, I ordered it! I can’t wait to wear it, the quality is beautiful and the value is incredible.
The kids are now back at school after half term, they went to stay with their Granny and Grandpa in Wales and they had an absolute blast and were spoilt rotten, as kids should be by their grandparents.
While they were away I noticed a campaign by the NSPCC on my Facebook feed, it’s based around a dinosaur called Pantasaurous and explains to children ‘what’s in their pants is private’. It’s brilliantly done, not scary at all. I ordered the pack that they send for a donation amount of your choice, and both kids loved the pack, the music video and fully grasped, without being scared, the concept.
So even though February has been hard-going this year – March should be fun! I turn 40! EEK! I’ve still not planned anything but it falls on Easter weekend so hopefully my friends will be around. Please let me know how you celebrated any big birthdays… all ideas really and truly gratefully received! I am cutting it very fine!
Of course March is also great because it also has Mother’s Day, and if you’re looking for ideas then I love the Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet in Sea Bamboo, a gorgeous coral pink, with the charm in sterling silver that says ‘Love’. I think it’s beautiful.
Take a closer look at the cardigan here…
