This improves the look of your colour and shine, and gives body and natural fullness to even the finest hair as well as retexturising thick or coarser hair to give a silky finish.
It is a summer saviour, as colour treatment, especially highlights or high lighting tints, combined with sunshine are not a good mix and can result in your hair feeling quite straw-like and unmanageable even with excellent quality conditioners.
What’s special about the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer is that you can use it with any brand of existing shampoo or conditioner from the high street or a salon, as it repairs damage caused by colour services, blow drying, styling etc. and also repairs damage from weather, swimming and weakening caused by wearing bands and clips.
It’s simple to use but the trick is that your hair must be damp before you apply it. The easiest way to do this is to spray down with water or with a running tap, thoroughly wet your hair then and with your hands massage about a tablespoon full of Elastacizer all over the hair – concentrating on mid lengths to ends and any areas you know are in bad condition or suffering from breakages.
For a full, intense treatment, put a shower cap or warm towel on and leave for at least 20 minutes or if convenient, it is fab to leave on overnight. Then, shampoo, condition and style as normal. The difference should be immediate, however, if you hair is in very bad condition or, like me, you are outdoors a lot suffering with the weather, you may wish to repeat this treatment two or three nights in a row until you get the hair you want back. After that, you will find your own routine of how many times a week you need to use it to maintain the results.
A quick treatment can also work. If you are about to wash your hair and feel that it is dry, feels rough or coarse in texture, looks a bit broken or weak on the ends especially in the fringe or layered areas, then just dampen those key areas, massage some Elasticizer on and even if just left for two or three minutes before jumping in the shower, it will make a difference.
Elastacizer is normally retailed in a 150ml size, which is the worldwide top seller, on our website at £23.50 and although fantastic, that can work out a little pricey for regular use so our product of the month in the supersize is outstanding value and would mean for short hair, it would last for up to a year, medium length hair certainly until Christmas and very long hair it would take you through all of the summer months and into the winter. You will also find you need to use less of your normal conditioner and finishing serums because your hair will be in much better condition.
Top tip: on holiday, especially if sunbathing, apply it more than you would at home.
