My Little Princess
On last week's blog I posted a couple of pictures of my first born, my son Daniel, so to be even-handed, and at the request of Martin, here is a picture of my daughter, Sophie. This is one of my favourite baby pictures of her wearing a dress I knitted for her to attend our friends' wedding.
She was just two months old and was very well-behaved at the wedding... it was sleeping through the night that was the problem at this stage! She has always been a bit of a night owl, not wanting to go to bed at night and not wanting to get up in the morning. I am very impressed that she now gets up before 7am each morning to get to her job in the city - I didn't think she had it in her!
The best display will win the coveted prize of having the beautiful velvety-red lily named after them. Some of the other presenters are being a little secretive, but I don't mind sharing... I've done my best and I'm pretty pleased with the way they are looking.
I've never had such good results with lilies before, so these must be an easy variety to grow. Stunning, aren't they?
I have a busy weekend ahead on QVC including Kim & Co. shows today and tomorrow, L'Occitane and Liz Earle and also the launch of a new range of footwear called Vionic at midnight on Sunday. The TSV is an open-backed 'mary-jane' style clog which is podiatrist designed for support, particularly under the instep.
Talking of TSV's there is one coming up in a couple of weeks' time that means I might have to do a re-write of my book! If you have read 'One Hundred Lengths of the Pool' you will know that chapter 29 is the number of Tiffany-style lights that I own.
Here is the dilemma - the TSV is this gorgeous lamp which I am lucky enough to have been given a sample of...do I get rid of one of my others or do a re-write? Only joking, I've already invalidated chapter 41 (the number of countries I have visited) by going on holiday to Mauritius earlier in the year!
Hope you have a great weekend and can join me for some of my shows.
