The Other BB
I don't really watch Big Brother but I do sometimes get a little bit hooked on the celebrity version when I have a few evenings off work. That has been the case this year for me, although just as it has got to the really interesting bit, where everyone is sick and tired of playing 'the game' and just wants to go home, and all the evictions come thick and fast, I've been missing it!
It's quite surprising how, after the initial awareness of 'being watched', they seem to forget and do some really stupid things. I was quite liking Romeo so was a bit disappointed when he was evicted on Wednesday, but I think my favourite has been Gareth.
The other BB was our very own Beauty Bash which took place on Wednesday and Thursday this week. I was asked to go on Wednesday afternoon and, as usual, it was lovely to meet 'our viewers' in the flesh.
The day was made extra special for me with the arrival of an unexpected guest. Our beautiful (inside and out) model Amica, who has been battling breast cancer, sprung a surprise on us. I can only imagine how she must have felt before coming into the hall so thank goodness she had her friend and fellow QVC model Beth with her for support.
It was tears and hugs all round and I can truthfully say it puts any problems I may have into perspective, watching the composed manner in which she is coping with what life has dealt her. The next step is to get her back modelling on QVC.
I had planned an evening in, watching the aforementioned CBB, however Keeley from Elemis and Ali Young persuaded me otherwise.
Along with Amica and Beth, and two of our floor managers, Dickie and Vanessa, we headed first to the pub for a pitcher or two of 'Woo Woo'... I have no idea what is in it ... and then to Jamie Oliver's restaurant for dinner. The call to home was along the lines of, "Have you started making dinner yet?"...
Hope you are loving the Tiana B TSV and remember it is Beauty Day tomorrow on QVC!
See you later, Julia xx
