Getting set for Christmas

Daniel's first birthday Hi everyone!

So, are you getting ready for Christmas yet? It's something I don't start organising until after my son Daniel's birthday on November 27th, exactly four weeks before the big day.

It seems impossible that he turned 22 last Thursday – where have all those years gone? Actually, the last 15 of them have been spent here at QVC. I took a little trip down memory lane as I tend to do at birthdays, and I came up with this cute photo of Daniel on his first birthday. He was mesmerised by his favourite present, a jack in the box. Do they still make them, I wonder, or are they all 'virtual' nowadays??

Talking of presents, I took him into London to go shopping for a jacket he said he'd like, and we popped in to see Simon Wilson at the Butler & Wilson shop on South Molton Street while we were there. We hadn't been in there before more than a minute before two QVC viewers came in and recognised us. So, now I have witnesses to prove that I DO go into his shop, no matter what Simon says on-air!!

We also spotted Portsmouth footballer Jermain Defoe in a famous department store on our travels. Have you recognised anyone famous while you've been out shopping?

Catch up with you all again soon,

    Hi Julia,
I love watching the shows you do with Simon Wilson. You two are so funny together. I had a giggle last night when you were on. Last year on my birthday my husband and i went to London. I spotted Paul Mckenna in a computer shop. He must have seem me too beacause i was shouting “Oh look, there’s Paul Mackenna, there’s Paul Mckenna”. It was quite funny at the time.

Just before my husband and I moved to France five years ago, I took my youngest son shopping for a day in London. Leaving Victoria station we walked up towards Westminster Abbey. There were many people and police around. Being typically English we stopped to see what was happening.Cars were drawing up and Stars and other Famous People were being dropped off in their finery. The highlight for James was to see Louise Rednapp who he adored!! Both of us wished we had a camera as James said ‘No one would believe we had seen all these famous people’
As we walked away, talking about who we had seen, we both looked at each other and said at exactly the same time.
‘You do realize we both had camera’s on our mobile phones’!!!!!!!
Did we feel stupid or what.
    Happy Christmas.

    Hi Julia,
I hope you don’t me asking but I wondered where you got the lovely black beaded dress you wore the other night when you were on with Simon Wilson. I usually recognise if it is a Butler & Wilson and I don’t think it was.
If you don’t want to tell me I understand.
Great show the other night and I loved your enthusiasm last night with Honora’s TSV.
    Have a wonderful Christmas.
