I love summer holidays but sometimes choosing the right things to wear can be a bit of a dilemma! Here’s my advice on how to dress for the warmer months…
My summer essentials
When I go on holiday I have to have a really good pair of large sunglasses! Not only do they make a fashion statement but they protect the delicate skin around the eyes. My Crocs are also an essential – quite chunky footwear I know – but they’re so handy for travelling and you can’t ruin them in the sea.
I always pack a couple of long sarongs – when I’m away I wear them from breakfast until dinner! I always buy plain block colour sarongs as they are much more versatile than the printed ones.
If you’re staying in the UK over summer then my fashion tip would be dress for all seasons. With our weather nothing surprises me, so expect the unexpected!
My top tips for beach dressing
I always buy simply styled bikinis to avoid embellishments causing tan marks and I also tend to take vest tops with the built-in shelf bras. I find them much more comfortable when it’s hot. I always take lots of fashion jewellery with me to keep my outfits looking different.
My favourite item of clothing this summer is a long white skirt. I’m not really a skirt person, let alone white, but it’s cut really well and it’s lovely and cool. It works in the daytime with beaded flip flops or with higher strappy sandals in the evening.
Hope you enjoy your summer!
