Well, as I write I'm still waiting for the 'Indian' summer that we have been promised. Hopefully by the time you get to read this it will be 85 degrees! you never know we live in hope.
Actually I shouldn't complain as we had our little fix of sunshine this year in Gran Canaria, which was beautiful. Originally we were going to Tunisia, somewhere that I have always fancied, but after the unrest earlier in the year we switched to Melonares in Gran Canaria.
We stayed at an amazing African-themed resort hotel, almost like one of the themed hotels you would find in Las Vegas and the weather was wonderful.
Since we have got back it's been all systems go with my son starting secondary school. And I thought I was busy before! This is a whole different ball game, talking of which he is now playing rugby, and before you start thinking I'm totally paranoid, this is the boy who managed to break his arm in his own bedroom!
