Jasmine’s party, Zumba and this week’s 3 things…

Jasmine's partyHello! How are you? Hope all is well and so far your February is all good?!

Mine has been busy! Since last writing to you I have been down in Bristol organising and hosting my niece Jasmine's 10th birthday – such fun! I volunteered to do this as my sister Ellie was due to give birth that weekend so I figured she might have other things to deal with!! As it turns out she still hasn't had the baby, she is overdue so any day now!!

The party was great fun; there were 6 girls aged between 7 and 10 and then a willing Uncle Craig & Uncle Stuey!! We took a minibus from home down to the centre of Bristol, had a couple of games of Laser Fusion (I was determined we were going to do something to get the girls running around!), then it was off to Pizza Hut for a pizza party then back to my sisters for games, cake, movie & goody bags!! They had fun and Jasmine loved it. The following day we went for a family lunch and had another cake cutting & singing ceremony. My sister made a fabulous cake in the shape of a dog face – she is so talented!

Jasmine and her birthday cake Family lunch

Other than that, QVC has been very busy and lots of fun; I have been so lucky to host some great shows – one of my favourite has to be 'Anything Goes' last weekend – my Zumba dancing has caused quite a stir – I will have a DVD copy of it soon so if you missed it, I should have a video to put on this blog next week…. crazy!!!

Thank you SOOOO much for getting involved in my blog with your 3 highlights, I love reading your comments and find them funny, interesting and downright inspiring. I will, as ever reply to any comments you leave here!

OK, so here we go for this week's 3 things:

Cocktail tea towelHIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK:

This has to be hosting my niece's birthday party, I love her so dearly and to have quality time with her and see her having fun with her friends was such pure magic.

A fab tea towel (image left) I was given as a gift from our visit to Bristol for the birthday from a brilliant shop called 'Howkapow' in the Quakers Friar area of Bristol. It has recipes for cocktails on it and on a night out with Michael & Sarah from Thompson & Morgan on Tuesday I made us a Long Island Ice Tea, Lime Daiquiri & Amaretto Sour all using the recipes… they went down a storm!!

Being with family & those close to me last weekend made me realise how amazing it is to make and share the memories of life and how blessed we are to have each other, these are the things to always hold in our heart.

Now, I would love to know YOURS!!!

Much love, have a great weekend and see you soon,

Lovely blog as always and pleased you had such a great time at your niece’s birthday.
Highlight of the week: Helping my friend choose her “new hair” whilst under goes chemo and being able to make her laugh like a drain!!
Product of the week: YBT Eyebrow pencil – this product is a miracle!!
Happy Thought: Seeing the snow drops and violets in the Pavilion Gardens and knowing that spring is firmly on its way!!! Maybe wishful thinking with the snow predictated but ever the optomist!!
    love and hugs

    Hi Craig

Highlight: Helping my friend choose her wig whilst she goes through chemo and making her laugh like a drain!
Product: my new wok (not QVC though)!!
    Thought: It is nearly spring!!!

    HI Craig
What another lovely blog! well done on hosting what appears to be a fabulous party for your niece. I bet you had so much fun at Laser tag. I hope your sister has now had her baby and everyone is well and healthy and lovely and cuddly.
Your ZUmba was just “classic” made be smile and cry with laughter, not laughing at you, but with you! Your energy and zest makes you a real credit to QVC. Its like watching a show when you are on instead of a home shopping channel.Haha. Anyway
HIGHLIGHT – BEING ALIVE – Literally!! we had a house fire last week, started when our car blew up on our drive and my poor children had to witness it. Lost both our cars our front porch all our windows at the front of the house and had smoke damage inside. BUT….we are all safe and sound thanks to LONDON FIRE BRIGADE. ( enough of that before i cry lol)
FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE WEEK – SBC collagen gel set, after a awful week of stress and tears this has really helped my worn skin and make me look half decent lol.
HAPPY THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK – how unaffected by anything my children are and how they can pick themselves up, dust themselves off and continue in their own happy little world. A lesson that i think us adults could learn from sometimes.
Sorry for the sadness this week WILL be better haha have a great week xxxx

    Hi Craig,
I just wanted to say that I loved the Zumba last week. You were a star. Can’t wait to watch it through again! I think you may have missed your true vocation.
Highlight of my week was going to stay with my sister in the Channel Islands. Walking on all the beautiful beaches and enjoying some quality time with her which is long over due.
My product of the week is the SBC Arnica Gel which I saw you discussing with Adele. You talked about using the gel around the eyes which I had never thought about doing before. All my life I have suffered from quite prominent bluish veins around my eyes and have struggled to disguise them. What a difference the Arnica Gel has made! I can’t thank you both enough for this top tip!
Happy thought for the week is that it’s now still light at half past five in the evening! Roll on Spring and sunny evenings.
    Lots of love,
    Gill xxx

    Hi Craig!
Hope you are well! Great blog post – I’m thrilled you had a lovely time at Jasmine’s birthday and it sounds as though she and her friends had a smashing time too!
Highlight of the week is you following me on Twitter!!!! Thank you! <3 Also, I’m getting married in June and so me and my sister Chloe have been busy buying lots of little things to decorate the reception room with – It’s been fun spending time together and getting excited about it, she’s going to be my bridesmaid too!
Product of the week for me has to be the new Yankee Candle scents – They smell WONDERFUL! I have a few drawers filled with Yankee Candles – I can never have too many!! Me and Chloe really liked Steven when he was on discussing Yankee Candles with you, it was his first show and he did brilliantly – Looking forward to the next Yankee Candles show :)
Happy thought for the week is that life is a beautiful thing and every moment should be treasured and enjoyed!

Hi Craig, LOVED hearing about Jasmines party, she is SO LUCKY to have an uncle like you ! I must admit I have not had the best of weeks in many respects but had to blog you anyway !
Highlight : My son getting trials for Wales rugby (u’16). He got into the initial squad (sheer elation) but they then cut the squad . Rugby has been his and our lives since he was 10 years old and then to be told he was in and then out within the space of a few days was SO HARD. I would rather have his pain then to see him go through it. So that has been my highlight but also a HUGE lowlight.
Product: My Emma Hardie skin products. I.ve been so stressed my skin has suffered but these have been my saviour this week.
Happy Thought : A quote my Emmerson has been in my mind a lot this week. ‘Our greatest glory is not in never failing but in raising up every time we fail’
Hope next weeks blog will not be so sombre and heavy, Craig and I will certainly be tuning into your shows as you never fail to lift my spirits with your smile and sunny nature ! Love and best wishes as always , Helen xxx

Hi Craig – watching you with the TSV tonight prompted me to write on your blog…. as always, a pleasure to watch you presenting and also fun to read your blog!
Highlight – being told my cancer is in remission and being able to finally start to get my new home ready to move into
Product – Charlie Bears (I just received Fish who now sits with my 2 other bears Hector and Cecil), great for a cuddle and I can tell them all my secrets!
Happy Thought – how lucky I am to have such wonderful and supportive family and friends.
    Keep smiling xx

    Hi Sharon
oh my gosh, I cannot believe you have been through all that. So, are you still at the house or have you had to move out whilst the repairs are being done.
I find it amazing that after all that you have the humility and gratitude to express thanks that at least you all escaped with your lives. Wow, what an amazing outlook you have. Yes, you are right, isnt it amazing how children live in the moment, even after something as terrfiying as a fire they dust themselves off and carry on and continue smiling and playing.
Glad SBC collagen has given you a little bit of tlc, it is a fabulous range and when I next do a show I will mention how it can be a god send at the most extreme of times…
Thank you for your kind words, I am so glad we are blog and tweety/facebookey friends…
Lots of love to you & the family and I hope things can be physically and emotionally improved soon….

    Hi Gill
thanks so much for posting on my blog.

Thanks again Gill and do stay in touch..

    hi there Amajo32!!
thanks for posting on my blog ;)
Going to church is always such a healing, peace giving experience isnt it? I think this is the case whether you are religious or not.
Yes, love Ultrasun – fingers crossed it will be time to start using it again soon! Like you, lots of people use the face 30 all year round to stop UVA/UVB, that is always Abi’s advice.
Love your happy thought for the week; it is my pleasure to be replying and chatting on here – I love my job and being in touch with my QVC family….
