I’ve turned chef!

Hello,

If you’re a regular QVC viewer (or indeed if you follow me on Twitter) you’ll probably know that I’m a pretty bad cook. But now and again a kitchen gadget comes along which even I can get good results with, so I wanted to share this one with you, in the form of a video I made with the help of my mate Chloe Everton (Craig Rowe makes an appearance too!) and which you can watch below.

This brilliant invention is called the Rangemate and will be a Today’s Special Value offer on Wednesday 30th November, and it’s basically a microwave-safe cooking grill that lets you grill, stir-fry, steam and bake foods right inside your microwave. It’s kind of amazing – it will change the way you view microwave cooking forever!

You can use it for almost anything –  fish, chicken, steak, fresh vegetables, pasta, rice dishes, omelettes, toasted sandwiches, and even cakes (I made brownies!). It can also cook from frozen in a fraction of the time, and is very compact so ideal for those with limited space or where you may not have a conventional oven, like in a caravan. It also comes in five colours: green, red, blue, purple and orange.

You’ll see it on air on the 30th but for now here’s my video – OK, so my food presentation skills aren’t great, but it all tasted very good!

Just a little extra for you too…there was a little out-take from this video, when I made a bit of a mess of cracking the egg into the Rangemate. And that naughty Chloe Everton who filmed the video for me has stolen that clip and put it on her own blog…grrrr! You can see it here (and revenge will be sweet, Chlobert!)

Have a good week!

Love Jackie x

You do realise, Jackie, that there’s something missing from the Cozee Home bedding (a few blogs back? A nice, portly, purring pussycat called Cora. So many older cats need a loving home and I can’t see one turning down a few ‘winks’ on your lovely bedding!!

    Happy snuggling

Oh Susanne I would absolutely love a cat (and a dog!) but hubby and I both work long hours so any pets would be alone in the house for 12 or 13 hours a day which just wouldn’t be right. Maybe one day though!
