It’s birthday time for Olley and the Morning Show!

Hi there,

I just thought I'd let you know that I won't be with you for the Morning Show on Friday, but I will be joining Claire and Debbie on Monday for an anniversary special!!

Can you believe it? – it's already a year since the first show with Debbie and Dale as your presenters. In that time I hope you agree that we've created an hour that kicks off your day with energy and enthusiasm, not to mention the chance to win £50 or more!

If you have any favourite moments or memories from our first year do let me know by commenting below.

Secret celebrations for Olley's birthday

Let's talk about Friday first. It's Olley's birthday, and it's a big one! He's not too happy about shouting it from the rooftops, so instead of an extravagant party, he's decided he'd like to do something special with the children.

Charlie's GCSE exams and Rebecca's A Levels will have finished, so the atmosphere at home will be much lighter and we'll all be ready for some fun.

As Bex is off to university in the autumn (if she gets the grades… fingers crossed!) we may not be having so many times together as a complete family, so I've planned a surprise that I know we'll all enjoy.

I can't wait, but I mustn't let you in on the secret yet in case Olley gets wind of the plan. I promise I'll tell you all about it and show you some photos next week.

Gatecrashing Monday's Morning Show

Usually on Mondays I have a busy day doing all the boring chores I didn't get done over the weekend, but this next Monday brings something different – the 1st anniversary of the Morning Show.

I'll be gatecrashing Debbie and Claire's normal show, and we've extended it to two hours as there's so much to get in, including a fantastic Kim & Co Today's Special Value.

Some brave viewers will be joining us on-air for breakfast and it will all be a bit of a party. I hope you can make it, and also for the rest of the week, which will be business as usual with Simon and me at the helm from 9am to 10am.

Can I manage five early starts next week? With the help of a restful family weekend, I'm sure I'll make it!

See you on Monday!

Kathy x

    Hi Kathy
Congratulations on the first year of The Morning Show, I really enjoy it, it starts my day of just right. I would really like to comment on your appearance, you are looking amazing, your hair is absolutely georgous, it really suits you, you also have lovely skin (what products do you use?) and you just come across as being really good fun and somebody you would like to have as a really good friend.
Keep up the good work and I will be watching on Monday as usual.

    HI Kathy
Congratulations on the Morning Show birthday, i love it and watch every day that i can. It’ always good to see the tsv and a mixture of what’s coming up during the day. And i always enter the morning show competition, so far have not been chosen but will keep trying.
I hope you thoroughly enjoy your weekend. Sounds very exciting and i hope everyone has done as they wished in their exams too. Look forward to hearing what Olley’s surprise was.
    Love Jules

I also have a child who’s just done their A levels and is waiting to see if they get in where they want to…. and I have also been very aware that any family trips or activities that we do now will be the last that we do as a whole – it’s really hard to come to terms with; does anybody have any tips as to how you cope with that?? Fingers crossed for all A level students – you’ve worked realy hard!!!

Thanks for a year of The Morning Show and it really refreshing and enjoyable to watch. The banter from the presenters is good fun and I always look forward to it.
I have a son who has just finished his first year of doing AS levels and will be going back to do his second year at school in September, though I am not certain that he is going to do well in them, but I wish your daughter well with the results of them.
