Is it ever too early?

Christmas lightsI was driving into work this morning ready for our 20th birthday day when I noticed (well I couldn’t really miss it!) someone has either decided to get their Christmas lights up way early or just loves the idea of some nice lights.

The question is… is it ever too early to get those lights up? They did look great and I have to say it really made me smile as drove by (I did stop to take the picture) but 1st October?!?

Definitely too early – I’m glad it’s not my electricity bill!

I did a double take when I first read your blog – I wondered who you were trying to kid that you were only 20, then the penny dropped that it was QVC’s birthday! Very definitely a senior moment, but then again I am almost 3 times as old as QVC.

I think you will find that the lights are to celebrate an engagement or wedding, within the Asian community. Certainly not Christmas lights, may even be lit for Diwali.Fancy you not knowing that. Jen

Jenny! Thank you! Of course it must me that. With all the Xmas celebrations at the Q I almost forgot that there is a real work out there! I wonder how long they will keep the lights up for.
