We’re hosting a special summer fashion event on the 11th and 12th of April, and included with be the launch of an exciting new handbag brand orYANY. We caught up with brand ambassador Bethanie Lori to find out more.
Welcome, Bethanie! We’re excited to have you here. Can you tell us a bit more about orYANY?
Thank you! Well, we’re a young brand but our team have experience of working in the handbag and accessories industry for over 30 years. Our founder and director was born in Morocco, grew up in Israel and then moved to the U.S. as a young adult. He is passionate about leather and design as an art form, and that translates into our handbags.
So does orYANY have a particular kind of woman in mind when designing?
We aim to create chic and contemporary handbags for the modern woman of today, and there’s a bohemian chic feel to our bags as well – the luxurious leather is soft and slouchy.
Our designers are inspired by glamorous places like Marrakesh and St. Tropez, but also the unique neighbourhoods of New York City where we are based.
What sort of details can QVC shoppers expect to find?
We’re known for hand-crafted, artisan-quality leather details – lots of braiding, weaving, whip-stitching. I always say that some of the design details can look architectural because they are so unique to fashion and well thought-out.
Our hardware is contemporary and geometric with an urban flair. Our signature hexagon shape features often and each piece of hardware has been created specifically for each bag by our own designers.
Do you have any personal favourites in the range?
My personal favourite is the Cassie shopper. It’s one of our most popular bags too, so I know I’m not alone in my love for it. The detailing is gorgeous and I often hear how women feel like a million dollars when they carry this bag – I do too!
And finally… what does the name mean?!
It’s an acronym, and it symbolizes leather and light.
Tune in at 5pm on April 11th to hear more from Bethanie and discover the orYANY range!
