I’m recruiting a beauty panel for June Beauty Month!

June Beauty Month is fast upon us and I would like to invite some of you to come and join me on my Beauty Fix shows! As there are four shows in total, I will be asking for one of you each week to come along (with a guest) and appear on my live Beauty Fix show, talking about a product that we will send you to test!

To enter just send the following information to the email address competitions_uk@qvc.com or by post to Alison Young Beauty Fix competition, QVC, Building 8, Chiswick Park, 566 Chiswick High Road, London, W4  5XU:

  • A colour photo of yourself
  • Your age range e.g. 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s etc.

Good luck!

    Hi Ali,
I’m in my first trimester and my skin has gone very dry. normally i’m combination skin. Could you advise me of the best things to use and also anything for later for stretch marks. I usually use liz earle’s cleanse and polish and i double cleanse with decleor cleanser and toner. i also use neroli oil and hydra floral.i was given judith williams’ moisturiser but since my skin has gone very dry am back to trying hydra floral with this. I use l’occitane body moisturiser for dry skin but even that is not helping at the moment.

What about a teenager for your show ? Teach teenagers how to deal with thir skin issues. More importantly what make-up to wear and how to apply it. I have seen many painted, over-done dolls at various school gates. Give Mums , aunts and grandma ideas for what to buy for the teenager in their lives.

Do you know if Bare Minerals will be offering their Deluxe version size (16g or 18g) of the mineral foundation ever again please? I love it and have just started my final large pot, but like a spare in my drawer!
    Thanks Yvonne
PS. Keep pulling Will’s leg on TV – he gets soooo embarrassed when you do!! Very funny!!

I’m a great fan of Gatineau and love watching you and Andrew on TV. Each time you’re on I sit with a tray full of products and follow all the routines. I’m 63 and nobody believes me! I am of asian orgin and for the first time I have noticed blotches on my cheeks and very dry skin on one of my eye lid. Any suggestions?
I would love to take part in your beauty panel in June. I have been shopping with QVC for over 10 years…

    Hi Alison
I’ve recently purchased Decleor’s BB cream and although it doesn’t give enough coverage for a foundation I am wearing it and then using my usual Clinic foundation over it. The effect it gives my skin is a warm natural glow. As the product is expensive, I was wondering if you could recommend another Decleor product that would give the same results but would work out less expensive? I love the fact that my skin’s being hydrated all day. Thanks Alison.

Love the idea of a beauty panel and hear lots about the beauty bashes you have. Sadly, though I would love to try products and give my opinion I would never be able to get time off work to go to the studio even if I was lucky enough to win anyway, also how do customers get invited to Beauty Bash events, are they just held in London or do you have events in other areas of the country? Would be really interested to find out. Xx

I get so confused at times. There seems to be so much choice. There seems to be this for that if you see what I mean. Then there is the price. I would like a cleanser. moituriser and something for my dark circles and puffy eyes. but I get exhauseted just looking. I would like to appear on your show. I would like to be able to test the products without having to spend a fortune.

I previously bought the alpha h tsv. I started using it which gave a tingle sensation as stated but after a couple of days it felt as if was burning. Im not sure if this is ment to happen so I have stopped using it. Can you give advise on whether I should persist a little longer with it or stop using it altogether and return it
    Many thanks

As there is so much choice in beauty products I too get confused in what I need. I am after something that really works for slackness of the skin and under eye dark circles . I have tried numerous products but I can’t say I have found “the one”. At the moment I am using Stri Vectin which has made an improvement in the look of my skin. Which make is serious skin care and works ? x

    Hi Alison,
Just wondered if you could either do a beauty show for pregnant women or include more products that are suitable for pregnant women. My daughter is in her 2nd trimester and has found it very difficult to find out what products she is able to safetly use. The High Street store assistants do not seem to know what is safe for pregnant women .
    Thank you,

    Hi Alison,
I agree with all the other ladies, great idea about the beauty panel. I need advice about really dark circles, I have just about tried everything on the market. Nothing seems to work, any new wonder cream on the market that I have possibly missed?
