It has been a very long time since my last blog so there’s a lot to update you on. I think I’ll start with the weightloss as so many of you have been asking about it.
To begin with it isn’t just about losing weight. The program I’ve been following since the 23rd of July is The Body Rescue Plan by Christianne Wolff. I came to know Christianne through her sister, Marie-Francoise, who is our Kipling guest on QVC. Christianne is a personal trainer, nutritionist, yoga instructor and reiki practitioner. For over 20 years she has worked with everyday people like myself but also with many major celebrities with life changing results.
Christianne’s book, a 12 week plan which then goes onto a maintenance program, is scheduled to debut on QVC January 2nd. Personally, I think it’s a perfect time. Starting a new regime on New Year’s Day can be tough with all the leftover food and drink in the house. With delivery being 3-5 working days you’ll have time to use up the leftovers without having to throw them away! Well, that’s how my brain works anyway…makes sense to me.
This year has become ‘the year I changed my life forever’ on many levels. More on the other elements of this in a future blog. I have tried many diets and have had great success with them. There are some great habits I learned using Paul McKenna’s system years ago which I still utilise such as eating slowly and consciously and putting my knife and fork down between mouthfuls. I also loved Diet Chef for reaching short term goals such as special events I may have wanted to drop a dress size for. James Duigan’s Clean and Lean diet has been about the closest to Christianne’s plan that I’ve seen. I loved that, too – it makes a lot of sense.
So, why Body Rescue? Well, it’s an all encompassing mind, body, spirit system. The book has mind programming/meditation, absolutely stunning recipes, different types of exercise and a mass of nutritional and psychological information which has suited me perfectly. There’s no calorie counting. It’s all just as good for the inside of you as much as it is for how you’ll look on the outside. I’m feeling great, my skin has improved and since the start I have gone from 12 stone 6 pounds to 9 stone 11 pounds! The most important thing is I wanted something which I could maintain for life…this is it! There will be more updates soon so keep checking back.
This was a recent evening out with Christianne. We attended a fascinating talk on the Cullinan Diamonds which was given by diamond expert, Laurie Wickwire, who is also seeing great results on The Body Rescue Plan!
Another huge change in my life is that I’ve bought a house. I’m finally a first time homeowner, it’s been a dream of mine for many years. In order to afford a house in the area I wanted to live, I had to go for a fixer-upper.
In my next blog I’ll tell you more about that as its a huge undertaking with a complete gutting and remodelling of the house and, yes, I’m the one in the hard hat and (stylish pink & black) steel toe cap boots getting on with it!! The ultimate in DIY. I think I’d rather like a show called ‘DIY Diva’ where I can share what I’ve learned along the way and some of the great products I’ve loved from QVC. Who knows, eh? Watch this space!
I hope you’re all keeping well and warm now it’s cooled down. I look forward to being back on your screen very soon but, for now, it’s back to knocking down walls and ripping off ceiling paper!
Love Catherine xx
