I know that Christmas seems like a distant memory now, but yesterday we revisited it for the afternoon! As well as making a Christmas cake for my family, for the last four years I've also made a cake for the backstage staff, and in particular Tustie who's one of our producers.
Unfortunately she wasn't too well before Christmas, so I waited until our shifts crossed to bring the cake in – hence me bringing it in yesterday. Actually it was good fun, maybe we should do it every year – it's the perfect way to cheer up a grey January day!
It's a brand I first became aware of before we even launched in on QVC, thanks to my daughter Sophie. She'd seen it in a magazine and thought we should be selling it. I duly went to see the buyers but I couldn't remember the name properly, so I said "I think the brand is from New Zealand!"
The funny thing is, not only did the buyers realise what I was on about, they had just presented the range to the business with a view to selling it! I was lucky enough to do the first show with Kathy herself, and I've been using a 'Kathy' bag as my everyday bag for a few months now. On a recent visit to the dentist the nurse couldn't stop talking about it. I don't think my dentist really understood all the fuss, but then he is a man!
Sophie loves her bags and her latest find on the website is Butler & Wilson – good job she's still got some birthday money left to spend!
See you all soon,
