I love Pink – and other great colours!!!

Pink Hi there,

For those of you who watched the Butler & Wilson show a couple of weeks ago, you may have heard Simon Wilson accuse me of liking bloke-ish things – I presume he was referring to football and decorating!

Well, both of those pastimes are finished for me for the forseeable future (until the new season!), so I've had to think of something else to write about. This week it's really easy… it's PINK… and I don't mean the colour!

I'll be honest with you, I'm not a fan of all her music, but I think she has an incredible voice, and I saw a video of one of last year's live shows and it looked amazing. So when two of our floor managers Vanessa and Dickie (yes, he of Dickie's Picks fame) said they were planning to go, I dropped VERY large hints about going too.

It worked, because a couple of weeks later there was a note taped to my dressing room door that said SO WHAT?. I thought, 'how rude', but when I checked more closely, it turned out to be a ticket to one of her gigs!

We went to the O2 last Friday night along with Paula, one of our Co-ordinating Producers, and Dickie's mates Lucas and Lewis – I promised to name check them in my blog! The night totally lived up to the anticipation, it was a spectacular show with a great band and stunning aerial work – Pink even continued singing while she swung upside down on a trapeze!

Northern Nights bedding I was exhausted just watching, so thank goodness I had my new Northern Nights bedding to slip into when I got home! It's the TSV on Friday and has a 400 thread count, so it's silky smooth on the skin – just what I needed after my night out.

I'd love to know who you like listening to, and any stories you have of great concerts you've been to.

Love,
Julia. xx.

Hi,Julia I love Pink, I saw her in glasgow in 2007 and her show was amazing. I am going back to see her this year in Glasgow in October and this tour seems to be ever more spectacular. I am really glad you enjoyed her concert, my other band I love are Bon Jovi and have seen them 6 times I would recommend one of there gigs to you. For my hubbies birthday I have got him Oasis tickets for there gig at Murraryfield this year, I am not a fan but he loves them. I also am a bit of a football fan like you but my team is Glasgow Rangers and I have followed them since I was 10 years old. xxxxx

Hi Julia Glad you had fun and enjoyed the concert. I went to see BON JOVI in concert about 10 years ago, a friend asked me to go with her, and I love it. We do get some English concert here (Mallorca), last September we went to see Simply Red, he was fab.
Years ago In London I went to see WHAM in the final concert for them, it was wild,it was a very hot July day and they sparyed us with water to cool us off, when I got home I was exhausted and had a cold for a week after that, the thing we do when we are young ha!!
Like you said thank God for northren nights, I do not use anything else on my bed.
I may come to London by the end of September, hope to come and see you all at QVC.
    All the best.
    Magda.

    Hello Guys
Good to know there are so many Pink fans out there. Ellisa thanks for the recommendation for Bon Jovi – not a huge fan of his music but he’s pretty quite. Not sure if I should admit to you and Steven that my sister and most of her family are Celtic fans!! You’re neck and neck now aren’t you – promises to be a tense end to the season – unlike Palace’s which just sort of fizzled out! Thanks for the compliments Steven and yes, I do enjoy my job!
Hi Magda, if you’re going to own up to seeing Wham, I’ll admit that I went to see ‘Blue’. Can I add at this point that I also enjoy artistes whose names are not colours!! They are reforming but I think I may have outgrown them now. Hope to see you in September – keep in touch.
Hi Martin, you sound as enthusiastic as me about the concert. Thanks for your compliment. I did do a bit of acting many moons ago but I think I am better suited to just being me.
    keep watching
    love Julia xx

Tut Tut julia. At least you are sensible and stick with Palace. It’s totally neck and neck now because we only drew last night :(

Hello Steven, I think congratulations are in order for you and Ellisa and all the other Rangers fans and I guess you have a very good chance of doing the double – good luck tomorrow. My sister and family are probably still in mourning ……….. I don’t know cos I haven’t dared ring them yet! Here’s to next season for Palace assuming we don’t go ahead with the sale of all our talented youngsters to the likes of Arsenal and Villa it could be a good one.

Hi Steven, I heard you did the double – well done. I’m in Scotland this Saturday for my nieces wedding – nobody’s allowed the mention ‘the football’! Hope you bring us ( Palace ) luck next season …….. Premiership football would be nice to watch again!!

Hope you enjoy Scotland Julia. Hope you get the weather too but thats maybe hoping for too much! I was actually at a wedding last week and the weather was lovely – shock horror. Palace for the Premiership and another Title for the Rangers! How does that sound for next season

Hi Steven, I know Scotland quite well as my sister and her family have lived there for nearly 40 years, in fact I took my family to see her old flat in Bridge of Allan. The weather behaved itself until the thunderstorm in the evening but we were all indoors by that time so it didn’t matter. I have to stay neutral on the Scottish football front in case my family read this!!
