Are you all enjoying the latest video blog posts? WIll Gowing is a dab hand with the camera! It's now time to meet my horses and find out what products I use when I'm in the stables…

In the video I mention products from the Ultrasun range, Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Oil, as well as L'Occitane hand washes & hand creams.

    Alison,
Have just watched your video about your horses, they are absolutely gorgeous, I love horses like I love my dogs. I had to have my horse put to sleep coming up to five years ago now in December. I went down to the field he was in one lunch time and found him very distressed and holding up one of his front legs, I discovered that he had a mark on one of his back legs, and found out that someone had been in the field with a dog and chased him around, you could see the skid marks where he had tried to get into the adjoining field, unfortunately the gate was shut. He had damaged his front leg so bad which was discovered after X rays that he had to be put to sleep within a couple of days, it broke my heart. I miss him so much as he was my best friend and the perfect horse everyone dreamed of. I miss him everyday, the stable is empty and the paddocks and fields. I see him quite often cantering around them. I have not replaced him and not sure if I every will.
    Love Jean X

I liked the ‘spit wash’ you gave to Ellie May at 1.26 seconds – you are a good mummy to your babies x

Loving seeing your beautiful house Ali and your horses. I enjoy in the salon with Alison and all your shows. I’ve been watching you for around 12 years now and hang on your every word! I’m sure my skin would not be as good for my age as it is without your help. Have you ever thought of having viewers on one of your shows for help and advice with make up and skincare, using them instead of models for a beauty showcase once a month or so? I could be your PA and help to organise!! ha ha! if only, what a dream job. Thank you for everything you do for all us viewers Ali, you are like a good friend to most of us regulars. xx

Lovely to see Alison at home with her horses and dogs. Thank you Alison for being so generous and sharing this. It was moving to watch you with your horses, especially Ellie May. I now live in the USA, but still watch as many of the QVC UK beauty shows as I can. I have my ultrasun shipped across the pond to me!
Thank you again for sharing this video.

Hi Alison, Happy 17th Anniversary. I have loved watching you over the years giving help and advice on beauty problems and products. My 1st ever purchase was a TSV from Gatineau and have loved this range since. I have loved watching your video’s with Will where your passion for your work and animals shines through and look forward to seeing more of them.
    Love and best wishes

    Hi Alison,
Your horses are beautiful, love the greys. I am a bit nervous around them as my Grandmother was bitten by a horse as we were crossing a field when I was a child. I think the horse was only being playfull, but it frightened me a lot at the time, but I love how majestic they are, and have managed to stroke one or two as I came across them.
I love your Beauty Shows on Q.V.C and have learnt a lot from you over the years. Thank-you for the tip of patting in creams and serums. My skin has improved so much that I repeatedly get told I look 50 , in fact someone only last Thursday said I looked 40, and he was not my best friend. My eyelashes after using revitalash are now quite long and I have to half close my eyes to get the mascara on to the tips. I am 76 years old. but look a lot younger thank-you.

    Dear Alison
Thank you so much for sharing your private down-time life with the world, I’m certain I wouldn’t want to. When these clips were announced I do admit to hoping there’d be a horsey episode! I love horses and am also born in a Chinese Horse Year (I’m not divulging which one!) so thought I’d take a moment to comment.
After catching the occasional comedy/dry witty comment from you over the years mentioning your home life with horses as being diametrically opposed to the world of beauty as you can get (and a welcome antidote no doubt) I really wondered what your gee-gees looked like.
Wow your greys especially, are so beautiful and remind me of Arwen’s horse in Lord of the Rings films, they look so peaceful in your presence and clearly love you too. Your 22 year old horse, well I can hardly believe s/he’s 22! What a happy, healthy-looking horse.
As an adult I became really allergic to horses, cats and dogs too – so it’s lovely to see you with your clearly very well cared for and lucky animals (especially if you view those animal rescue programmes).
Thank you again for these little insights – and for this horsey treat especially! :) x

    Hello Alison,
Have been buying beauty products from QVC from the very first year, have to say have spent a fortune, but it’s been worth it, before then,I didn’t even use amoisturiser , we moved to Aberdeenshie in1988 when I bought my first horse Dustin, with the adverse weather we experience here I have needed all the lotions and potions over the years.
Dustin my horse was a Polish Arab, he was 8years when I got him, and sadly I lost him last year, after so many wonderful years , he achieved a grand age and thankfully didn’t suffer dying from a heart attack it was quick. I cannot tell you how much I still miss him, and how empty the stable and paddocks are without him , he was such a character and so loving. thank you for for giving us a little glimpse into your life with your horses and sharing with them with us, Dustin was a flea bitten grey, and looking at your new addition nuzzling you brought a tear to my eye reminding me of the warmth of him, which is what I miss most of all.
Keep up the good works and thanks
    Sue

    Hi Alison,
Loved watching your you at home with your horses, they are lovely. I rescue horses and have 5, a Haflinger, Welsh D, Arab (stallion, totally mad!!!) and 2 shetlands aged 36 and 50, yes 50!!! Im a bit of an animal obsessive, 5 rescued dogs too, rabbits and a parrot! All my spare cash goes on my animals and caring for them, but thank you because I have learnt so much from you. Ive learnt to make the cash stetch further by been able to identify products that really work for my specific skin, hair etc. I work full time too so my time in limited and I now, with your help have a daily routine that lets me get the best results in the quickest time. I can look after me as well as all my babies! I even put Ultra Sun on my horses pink noses!!! Really works for them too! Maybe an animal Ultra Sun range?!
Thank you Alison, keep up the good work, and can we have some blogs with you riding??
All the best for 17 year aniversary,
    Katherine xx

Hi Ali, wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww what a wonderful video of your horses; you lucky, lucky girl. I too am an animal lover but, unfortunately, have never been lucky enough to be in contact with horses. What a beauty Figo is; did anyone notice his beautiful tail. It was lovely to see how these wonderful horses responded when around you (all living things respond to kindess, given a chance). Watch Figo nodding in agreement when you mention having too much lip gloss on, ha ha, so funny. Like I said, animals sooooooooooooooooooo respond to kindness. Right then, when can I move in. Lots of love,
    Gail xxxxxxxxxx

    Hey Alison
Just watched the video of your horses they are beauties, we hear you talk about them so much on air and it is lovely to actually see them, and your crazy dogs, they are lovely too. Like you I am an animal lover but also have a thing about skin products. I would rather buy a pot of cream costing seventy pounds if it’s good and go for a new tshirt to Primark !!!!! Love your programs and the advice you give, so many thanks.
