When life is rushing around me and I need a relaxing influence in my life, I love nothing better than pressing the ‘reset’ button and looking at ways to make my surroundings at home more calming. Even though we’re still in disarray until the painting and decorating are done, I decided a couple of months ago to ensure that the landing area of our house was going to be a welcome sight for us whenever Austen and I went upstairs, as well as a stylish feature for visitors who came around for a peek in our new house. So YES we still have bare floorboards here, but Home Reflections really does detract from them, I feel.
In fact I was messaging my lovely friend, the Home Reflections guest and Interior Designer, Linda Magistris the other day saying I needed to show her this pic.
I’ve styled these lush flameless candles in a cabinet given to us by my mother and father-in-law. Then I added a lovely Peony arrangement on top of it, alongside some tealight holders (which were a moving in present from my dear friend Yvonne): doesn’t it look great? I set the candles to flicker mode to turn on at night with the 8 hour timer so they’re a soothing light whenever I get up in the middle of the night.
There are so many clever and inexpensive ideas in the Home Reflections range, so go and have a browse or buy my set (the reviews are great by the way) and also look out for a very special Home Reflections day with Linda on Friday 29th April starting at Midnight (hint hint, TSV?!?), it will also be on The Morning Show, The Lunchtime Show, and at 4pm, 7pm and 10pm. You’ll be used to seeing selections from the range featured during some of our Light Up Your Home shows, and but the range has been such a runaway success, that we’ve decided to launch full one hour shows. So Friday is all set to be a fabulous day, packed with lots of luxurious looking new pieces to decorate your home without breaking the bank. You’re going to get some terrific home styling advice from Linda, who’s fast becoming one of our most sought after interiors experts at QVC.
Remember we had a visitor a few weeks back over Easter? Well I recorded a little video of Coco for you to indulge in. She was very boisterous that weekend, and although she tired us out, we were sad to see her go back to her Mummy & Daddy (Austen’s best friend Carl and his fiancee Ella)
