My lack of organisation

Hi everyone,
Felt it was really time to check in and say just how wonderful it is to be fully back to normal (whatever that is!) here at QVC. The timing is perfect as there is soooo much to look forward to in the next few months. We have some cracking Today's Special Values in the beauty department from some of our biggest brands, so that's right up my street.
I do love this time of year. I love the weather when it's sunny but just a tad nippy first thing in the morning. I love it when you get all those cracking colours on the trees when the leaves start to fall. I even love it when the clocks go back and it's darker earlier (apart from the fact you get an extra hour in bed!!). It's all part of the run up to my favourite time of year.

Now you'd think with all that 'loving this time of year stuff' that I'd be really organised very early for the festive season… but alas no! Each year I promise it's going to be different but yet still I'm running around like a headless turkey come the 24th December.

Anyway I heard a statistic the other day that I found quite incredible. Apparently 50% of all women have already completed their Christmas shopping!!!!!!! I mean come on!!! Who are these ladies? Is it you? If so I could definitely do with some of your organisational skills. Please let me know as I'm beginning to feel a bit alienated. Surely it can't be true?! Then again it was in the newspaper, not that that always means a lot!

Ladies respond please as I would love to prove the statistic about statistics…….and that is… 80% OF THEM ARE WRONG!!!
Have a great week,

Anne xxx

Maybe people are shopping early as they are fed up of cutting back. After all spending on other people for Christmas doesn’t count!

Someone told me that we are all shopping early for Christmas as we are fed up of cutting back. Of course buying pressies for other people doesn’t count as spending!

hi anne – to be honest I have normally got a good stock of things for xmas now.
However my extended family have decided to do a secret santa this year so we all just buy for one person rather than everybody – just to try and save money really!! So I’m not really looking until nearer the time.
In my experience in recent years – I tend to find that so many of the shops are in so competition with each other, that things are greatly reduced even before xmas – so it doesn’t always pay to be organised!!!
I also think by the time december comes qvc have a lot of easy pays and a lot of sets that you could split – so all in all,I’m not rushing around this year!!!!

Hi Anne, I have to admit to being very organized in the past when my two boys started that is.. now they are 17yrs and 13 yrs, they have rather expensive taste and I find that I sometimes can get things abit ascew! So now they have money from me and their grandparents.

    Hi Anne
Its true. I know lots of women who have done a vast amount of their shopping and as for myself, I can confirm that I am nearly done as well. I bought lots from QVC during the year and put them to one side for Christmas. I know that I have saved myself a lot of trouble hunting for presents and also with easy pay etc. I have saved money and paid for everything. It really is good to be organised!

hi anne yes i have to admit it i have finished my xmas shopping. the secret is to buy somethings every month from january onwards. i have to confess to hate wrapping presents and writing cards so that unfortunately is usually left until the last minute. glad to see you back, love gill

    hi anne,
i am with you on this one. i usually wait for the big beauty tsv deals at QVC. every year i give friends and family L’occitane (was Molton brown before it was discontinued ahhhh)elemis, gatineau and decleor. it is well appreciated by all the family. And the best part is they think that i have spent a fortune on them ( ah bless!) when they go to the big department stores and see the cost they jump for joy. i get asked for beauty gifts all the time now so i do not have much to worry about for xmas. i just split the sets up in little gifts. i cannot wait for the Loccitane tsv this weekend. Even the kids like the philosophy shower gels so they get one each and the usual toys and cloths. thank god i only buy for 3 of them otherwise i would be bankrupt having such a large family. take care and glad to see you back looking so well. god bless
