Dinky-kitten at feeding time!

14

Hi everyone!

I was just looking through some old piccies and videos on my laptop when I came across this video!

Gosh, it really takes me back to when Dinky was so tiny! He must have only been a few weeks old in this clip. He was diminiutive in stature but boy did he have a big meow when it came to feeding time! It was so cute I just had to record it.

Although this no longer happens at every meal, Dinky will still get very vocal when it comes to treats or playing with his favourite toy (a squeaky mouse on elastic). When we hold his toy just out of reach he meows as if to say 'mum..give it to me, please'. It's adorable!

What funny habits do your pets have? I remember hearing of some rather funny but dangerous ones (cats peeing in plug sockets!) last time I wrote about the 'bad' habits my cats had gotten into. It did give me a giggle but I really felt for some of you poor pet owners!

See you soon,

Love Catherine x

    Hi Catherine
I don’t know if you would call this a habit but when our dog goes into a deep sleep she howls. Considering she’s a German Shepherd she looks like a wolf! We’ve discussed this with the Vet who’s never heard of it but we put it down to her life before we rescued her and she’s having some kind of nightmare.
At the moment she’s been given new dry food to try due to her medical problem(more test results next week)will she eat it?-no! she would rather throw the biscuits in the
air then tread them into the carpet! At least she’s enjoying herself. As I write this she’s in the garden and has done something naughty-she’s black-I daren’t look, hosepipe her I come!!

    Hi Julie,
Aww your doggie sounds so sweet. How weird she ‘sleep howls’! I’ve never heard of that before, either. What a character!
I do hope she will try the new food soon, poor love. I know what a tough time you’ve been having so we will all keep everything crossed for her.
I hope you didn’t get too much of a soaking yourself with that hosing down!
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

    Hi Catherine
That’s the only problem with dogs you get so much of a soaking with them-wellies constantly at the ready! She appears alittle better these days-no illness for a week so keeping fingers crossed!Even the Vet’s intrigued. That’s why she’s had more blood tests and not a biopsy-yes more money! Athough she’s a German Shepherd she’s white-well was until this afternoon!!
Will keep you informed and thanks for the interest

I love Dinky in this video Jake is just the same he howls whenever some goes into the kitchen lol Bad habits well my persian Jasper has some toilet issues which had recently lead to a 3 foot long sheep draught excluder ending up in the wash 2 days running! Apparantly its a persian trait hmm wish I’d known before lol. I don’t know if you noticed on twitter but I know have 3 cats Jake, Jasper and a new black, white and grey longhaired kitten named Tallulah – bad habits so far erm pushing her fellow cats off their dinners so she can eat adult food, destroying every kitten toy known to humanity, Christmas tree climbing and blanket sucking – pets who would have them – erm we would ;)

    Hi Louise,
Now I’m intrigued…what is your twitter id? I’d love to take a look at the cats if you have piccies of them on there.
Sounds like you have your hands full, like me! I love the names you’ve chosen for your little babes. Blanket sucking Tallulah has reminded me of a cat I used to have years ago who also used to do that! Kind of dribbly sucky whilst making biscuits/pounding paws! I had totally forgotten til now. How cute.
Hope to see you twitter very soon!
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

Catherine your kitties are just so gorgeous! Last time I got in touch with you to get Nige Merry on air you could not have any so thrilled to see you have now :) One of my cats, sadly now departed after 17 happy years, used to sit in the sink in the bathroom until we got the cold tap to drip so that he could have a drink – he used to try and “catch” the drips in his mouth rather than wait for the tap to run LOL! Our current ginger likes to come up on you in bed and pad bare arms to tell you it is time for food. Could go on about my kitties all the time especially the new kitten we have now got bringing us up to THREE!!!

    Hi Helen,
Nice to hear from you again..Nigel still blushes when I make any kind of suggestion to get him on camera!
I’m so sorry to hear your sweet 17 year old cat passed. What a lovely mum he had for all those happy years, though. I bet he had a very good life. I can just picture him catching ‘drips’! I just love to sit and watch them sometimes, very therapeutic watching their little ways.
So, you’ve expanded your kitty brood? How lovely! I expect you will have a magical Christmas with your new little one.
Lots of love to you & all of yours,
    Catherine x

    Hi Catherine,
Little Dinky’s so adorable in the video. I put it on with the sound turned up and my little rescue Persian, Misty (who’s had a kitten of her own in the past), came running to see where the kitten was. She was quite worried as Dinky was obviously shouting “feed me!” in cat language. She looked for the kitten for ages – I think she was quite disappointed not to find him! Please keep adding movies of your cats. Laughed till I cried at the Nintendo images of Pixie!!
Hope you and your cats have a great Christmas!
love Allyson (and Misty, Tabitha, Thomas and Alfie – oh, and my husband David of course!)

    Hi Allyson,
So glad you liked the Dinkyvid! They are just such little sweethearts, aren’t they? True family members.
Babycat was being silly today with sticky tape from Christmas wrapping..she had it caught in her fur and was going around in circles but my camcorder was out of charge so I didn’t manage to get that clip! So sweet though.
I hope your lovely lot enjoy Christmas.
Much love to all of you!

Hi Catherine ,Oh your cats are Gorgeous! Like me you are a real cat lover and i always follow your blog and especially love your `catty` ones. I have two cats Bella and Beau( or Bo Bo as we affectionately call him.) who looks so like your Dinky, he is a Russian Blue and a real litle character he rules the roost even our old dog Milly Moomin thinks he`s the Bees knees- she even lets him share her bed! Loved the clip of Pixie up the Christmas tree-Just Like Santas little helper! Love Katree x
