A girly day Britain’s Next Top Model Live

Lauren with Charlotte from Britain's Next Top Model Hi everyone,

I had a fab week – thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas launch weekend, hope you did too! If Santa could bring you one product this yuletide, what would it be?

I also went to the Sally Morgan show again with family and friends on Thursday. She’s the celebrity psychic whom I blogged about last year. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and some fascinating readings came through on the stage in Dorking.

Then I took my daughter Lauren to the live catwalk show and exhibition at Excel for Britain’s Next Top Model. We met Charlotte Holmes, who was a favourite of Lauren's, but Charlotte only came fourth.

Lauren was well-chuffed to meet Charlotte and the lovely lady stopped to have a quick chat, was very complimentary to Lauren and told us about her plans now the show’s over.

BNTM girls at the Leighton Denny stand We saw the other finalists too, not only on the catwalk but met them on the stand of our favourite nails man – Leighton Denny! His ladies were treating them to mini manicures. Considering how many other brands there were to choose from and they all gravitated after the catwalk show to his stand. It’s nice to see that Leighton’s celebrity status continues!

One of the highlights of the afternoon was definitely the catwalk show. Not only the top models from the show but a singer – Jesse Jones – who was incredible and would have won X-Factor hands down had she been in it! And some very hunky male dancers with the sort of muscles that makes it look like they’ve been painted on. Left the ladies in the audience with big smiles on our faces I can tell you.

Elemis bus We had a nice lunch and a coffee in the VIP Lounge (so worth the extra money for the tickets – almost front row at the catwalk too) and got a lovely little goodie bag. One of the things in it was a sample of Linwood’s seeds – funny cos I’d just done the guest auditions for a new guest. There were lots of other stands, as there usually are in such an exhibition, from beauty to clothes to hair to accessories – including a huge Elemis bus!

New shoes Couldn’t resist a bit of retail therapy too – Lolly bought a nice floaty short skirt, and I treated myself to some fabulous, show-stopping high platform shoes. They may see an appearance on air if I get the right hour to wear them in! So we came home very happy bunnies.
