Finding those last gifts for Christmas

9

Dale and Toby in the snowHi all,

I know this time of year is always frantic for us all and life at The Q reaches fever pitch.

Are you still searching for that illusive gift? Well, The Q is always here to help!

Dale using the Samsung laptopOn Saturday we have the finale of 'Saturday Night Gifts' with Debbie, myself and Will IT; there'll be the usual mix of great guests and gift ideas, and we'll be featuring the Samsung laptop TSV – and watch out for guest appearance from Father Christmas! Oh and a strong possibility of some Dad dancing!!

I'm back the next evening with Anna and Will IT for the first and last 'Sunday Night Gifts' show, and a special guest appearance from Toby himself.

We've only had the tiniest flurry of snow at home so far, gone in the blink of an eye. It's been minus temperatures for the last couple of days though. The recent cold spell reminds me of the heavy snow we had 3 years ago when Toby was still a pup – I've included a picture of him with his soft puppy coat covered in snow balls – I've also shown the photo again for the comedic value of my hat – what was I thinking?! All the decorations have finally been put up at home – took a little longer than planned, but well worth the effort – it looks quite magical – watch out I'm starting to get Christmassy – weh hey!!

Thank you so much for all the cards received both Christmas and birthday – I aim to reply to all those with addresses!

Seasons Greetings

Back for ONE TIME ONLY!! Yes, that’s right ….. this is the lowest I’ll ever get!! Stop panicking Dale, I’m just funning!!
    Franklin The Q’s Silver Fox
    Danced upon his sprightly toes
And if you ever saw it
You would even say he posed
    All the other presenters
Used to hang their heads in shame
    They wished that poseur Franklin
Would see the error of his ways
    Then one soggy ‘Strictly’ Eve
    Brucey came to say
Frankin won’t you help me out
Anton’s got a spot of gout
    Then the presenters snubbed him
They were so jealous you see
    Franklin The Q’s Silver Fox
Had the last laugh, he, he, he!
Have a very happy Christmas Dale and Gail and all BOTF fans. xx

Hi D, yes, it’s that time of year again. Time for our
annual Christmas ‘sing song’. Ma has started us off nicely, hi Ma lol xx
The tune is ‘ROCKING AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE’ D. Any key you like, yeah right……………
    Right, off we go, a 1 2, a 1 2 3 4. Are you still there D? Just checking!
    ‘Dad dancing’ Dale of QVC
All his moves are fancy free,
But that’s what I love, his sense of fun
And he sure looks good to me.
    ‘Dad dancing’ Dale of QVC
Let that Christmas spirit ring, hic
Let your hair down as you spin around,
Let your Christmas baubles swing (ouch!)
    CHORUS D
You will get a sentimental feeling when I’m near,
We’ll be dancing, we’ll be jolly
Careful D where you stick that holly.
    ‘Dad dancing’ Dale of QVC
Move them feet and orf you go,
Point your sausage in the air
I MEAN YOUR FINGER DALE, oh no………………..
You will get a sentimental feeling when I’m near,
We’ll be dancing, we’ll be jolly
Not telling you again D about that holly.
    ‘Dad dancing’ Dale of QVC
’tis the season of good cheer,
So let’s have a dance or, better still,
Have a ………….chat and then a beer (phew).
    CHORUS AGAIN D (KEEP UP)
You will get a sentimental feeling when I’m near,
We’ll be dancing, we’ll be jolly
Now don’t push your luck D re the holly!
    ‘Dad dancing’ Dale of QVC
Please can I sit on your knee,
I can pretend your Santa Claus
And see what toys you’ve bought for me, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
You will get a sentimental feeling when I’m near,
We’ll be dancing, we’ll be jolly
Can’t believe now where he’s shoved that holly.
FINAL CHORUS D (ARE YOU STILL THERE?)
You will get a sentimental feeling when I’m near,
We’ll be dancing, we’ll be jolly
Lets agree now D to swap that holly
    x FOR MISTLETOE x
Phew, that was hard work I must say. Hope you enjoyed it D.
See you in a minute x

D, so sorry I rushed orf like that but I was absolutely terrified of losing the content. I wanted it posted as quickly as possible as I had already spent ages typing it, only to hit a button and see the whole lot disappear. The air was your favourite colour D! Anyway, that’s why I rushed away. Once I knew it was posted, I could relax.
Anyway, I’m back and hope you enjoyed the ‘sing song’ D.
Wishing you and your family a lovely Christmas D and a healthy, happy New Year. Have a wonderful Birthday too. Merry Christmas to everyone xx
Am so looking forward to seeing Toby.
Lots of love Ma, Merry Christmas xx

Dale, I’m so glad you liked the ‘sing song’. I must be honest and say that I love it too and find myself singing it around the house (a few other people have been singing it too, believe me). It was lovely seeing Toby and Gracie the other evening; they were so well behaved and that photo of Toby above, wowwwwwwwwwwwwww, what a cutie.
    Lol, Gail xx
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, believe me, I’ve been called a lot of things, but never ‘A ROCK’. You’re being very cryptic Ma, hope U R O K (oh no, I ain’t starting all that again).
Merry Christmas to you both and your families. Hope you come out to play Ma in 2013.
