Here’s the news…

I thought I’d update you on the happenings at Biagi towers! Do you remember I was in a quandary as to what to do for my 50th birthday?  Should I have a big party or just be selfish and go off on my own etc? Well, the selfish gene won through and I have booked a scuba diving trip to the Red Sea to go wreck diving!

I still feel a bit guilty but I think I will be able to live with it! I’ll be taking a camera with me (underwater one of course) so I hopefully can share some of the experience when I come home. I'm going with a good friend of mine who I learned to dive with (in Australia) about 25 years ago!

The family are in Norway at the moment, so I have been left 'Home Alone' with a long list of chores – fitted wardrobes to be designed, constructed and fitted in my daughter’s bedroom, carpets to shampoo, grass to cut (seems like acres!), plants to water, my wife’s shop's website to build and launch, cobwebs to vacuum… you get the idea! Although I miss them, I do quite like a bit of peace and quiet to get on with things.

We don’t really go on a summer holiday as the weather here is too nice and it’s too good an opportunity to get a few things done and relax a bit in the garden which always takes so much effort to make nice. Whatever you're doing this summer, I hope it’s a good one and now I’m off to have a G&T in the garden! Whoops, I mean I’m off to start painting and vacuuming!

hi simon, just wanted to say that i have just come back from a cruise to the baltics that included the port of oslo and on s walk round found all the flowers that had been left by relatives and well wishers , it was quite a sad and beautiful sight at the same time. we didnt linger long as it seemed a bit intrusive but it was nice to see all the people who cared, i know you said it all happened quite close to your wifes family. we were told that they wanted to get back to normal and welcomed us all to their city. it was a beautiful place, just thought you might like to know , thanks for your time tracey living in scotland, from bucks xx
