Hi everyone. Well, I think I may have broken a personal record for the longest time between blogs but life is like that, isn't it? Thank you for all of your lovely comments and for spurring me back into action.
The wintertime is always a funny time of year, a little bittersweet in my view. The run-up to Christmas is always so very exciting and has me in a child-like state of ecstatic bliss every year. Then there's the New Year celebrations and the anticipation of all that a new year will hold for us.
After that has all died down there seems to be nothing to look forward to except cold, dark days, less socialising due to tightened pursestrings, post festivity, and I think many of us can suffer a touch of the blues during this time. I think I hibernated a little this year but it's definitely time to make a reappearance, so here I am! What's more, so are the daffodils and the promise of Easter time, chocolate and brighter days.
Many people have asked me how I slimmed down in recent months. My apologies if I never directly answered you but it was initially due to loss of appetite and stress after my ex-partner, Steve, and I decided to part ways. After the weight dropped off I decided it would be a good idea to try and keep it off through healthy eating and exercise. I was feeling pretty good on it but the bad eating habits and sofa surfing have returned and I can feel my mood changing, too.
I've made up my mind to do something about it. We have a 'Zumba' (the latest dance fitness craze) Today's Special Value offer coming up in a few weeks time so I am going to begin working out with that. Fitness Goddess, Rosemary Conley, was on QVC's Morning Show last week and I bought her book and DVD set so I'm going to make a start on those too, and get healthy in body and bash away the winter blues!
Sometimes it just doesn't matter how much you tell yourself you have to be grateful for, it's all relative and we all have our peaks and troughs. It's what we do about it once we realise we're down in the trough that matters.
I say here's to springtime and sunshine. Let's hope it's plentiful and arrives quick-smart!
All my love,
