January is all about Health & Wellbeing here at QVC and we want to get everyone involved! So we’re encouraging you to post pics along this theme, whether you’re drinking a juice or smoothie, Bodyblading, out for a run, practising Pilates or trying one of our healthy diet plans. You just need to post a pic on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, include @qvcuk and the hashtag #QVCWellbeing. Everyone who takes part will enter a prize draw to win a fantastic Wellbeing Hamper!
Don’t worry if you haven’t yet begun with your healthy living plans for 2016; I’ve yet to begin as I like to ease myself into the New Year gently. Even when I’m being extra good with food and exercise it’s nice to have the odd treat here and there – I hope your plans are going well, whether they’ve begun or are still in the planning stages.
I’m excited to have the best of both worlds on Saturday at 4pm with an hour of Delicious Winter Warmers. We will have hearty pies from The Real Pie Company and Simple Simon’s Pies. There’s also handmade, warming meals from Lodge Farm Kitchen and we can savour hot chocolate and teas from Whittard of Chelsea, too!
I’m particularly thrilled about presenting Soupologie for the first time as it fits in beautifully with The Body Rescue Plan by Christianne Wolff. I’ve been fortunate enough to try some of the soups and they are absolutely delicious! They’re award winning and double up as tasty sauces for pouring over pasta and rice, for example – the kind of soups I’d make for myself – and they’re freezable, too, so you can just take them with you on the go to work and keep up the healthy eating regime. They’re even free from dairy and gluten with no added sugar!
Here’s the curried sweet potato with coconut and raw cacao. I sprinted a little pepper and some chilli flakes on top for a little extra bite. It’s delicious, warming and guilt-free – lovely! I’m planning to take them to work in a flask for healthy lunches.
The food show is just one third of a special Winter Warmers event we are hosting from 4-7pm this Saturday. At 5pm Julia Roberts will be helping you to make your home feel as comfy as can be in Your Snug Winter Home and then at 6pm she will have a whole hour of Cozee Home to get you all snuggly cosy now the coldest weather is about to be upon us.
I hope you can tune in and join us and that your 2016 has got off to a lovely start. See you soon!
Love Catherine xx
