Thanks so much for your tweets and Facebook messages welcoming me back! Can you believe that five months have gone so quickly? I’m currently this evening dusting off my QVC pass ready to head back to London (not quite Dick Whittington style but you know what I mean!)
The time has absolutely flown by and it’s been great to be at home and enjoy being Mum whilst settling in a new area and making lots of new fabulous friends.
If you’ve followed my personal blog you’ll know I’ve not put my feet up for a second. Well, I have but it's also been a whirlwind of adventure, home-grown veg, animals, mud, more mud and various other things in between! For those of you who haven’t let me try to fill you in…
August - we moved house from Surrey to Warwickshire, embracing a complete lifestyle change – well, sort of, I suppose there’s a limit of lifestyle change when you’re in the same climate but you know what I mean! Got four chickens to add to my menagerie of semi-madness and discovered a huge beautiful blue sky!
September – the children started their new school (the French outfits were just for French Day!), I launched a new website and a new online magazine.
October – was meant to be writing furiously before the Christmas onslaught began but ended up thoroughly enjoying the sunshine, my Mum visiting for a while and Myles also turned 10 (can you believe it?).
I was rather proud of my birthday cake a la Minecraft TNT (you have to have kids of that age to fully appreciate this one, it's an extremely popular game!) Oh and we discovered the roller disco on a Saturday night too which has now become a firm family favourite!
November – was dragged (I lie, I took no persuading in the slightest!!) by Bev Cressman (QVC Guest) into performing alongside her and some other equally mad women in the local variety show in fishnets, bow ties and top hats – and there was I thinking I had hung up my heels to don my wellies for five months! My daughter turned nine (again, shock horror – yes that's her dancing in the pic with us!) so we went off to Cadbury World (I can highly recommend!!) and I visited my old uni home in Wales for a special '21 years later' anniversary.
December – having taken on the role of class rep (in with both feet and all that), I accidentally also ended up on the Parents Association and so juggled Christmas fayres, tombolas, Christmas rehearsals etc.
Had a fab time all round and then threw a rather impromptu New Year bash which totally overshadowed Christmas. Once again the KitchenAid came into it's own coupled with my ever flowing supply of eggs providing us with quite a few pavlovas over the festive season! New Year was chilli, charades and champagne and I have to say, the best one I've had in years!!
January – so here we are starting all over again. I've said it on my blog already, 2014 even LOOKS good when you look at the numbers so I'm really optimistic for all it has to hold. I'm back on air, not as much as previously, but I'm here and I'm online and I've also got my personal blog The Spaghetti Wombers so I really look forward to catching up with you somewhere!
Very best wishes
PS) My first show back is Monday 27th January at 1pm for Fabulous at 40 – I hope you can join me!
