Hello and Happy New Year, I hope this year is a happy, healthy and peaceful one for you.
I am writing this blog from Cornwall where I have been over the New Year, heading back to London today and feeling really positive and ready to start 2013. I don't necessary think this is the time to haul yourself into major changes (I think the spring is better for that) but I do think it's a good time to start thinking about where one's life is going and anything we want to change.
Christmas was wonderful, I had a pre-Xmas family visit to Bristol (see last week's blog) and then Christmas itself was spent in London. A lovely, quiet Christmas which started off with prosecco and cook's essentials mango coulis and a scrummy Xmas breakfast. We then had a beautiful walk out in Regent's Park, watched a bit of telly then saw friends in the evening for pressies with the kids, the grandparents and the cats. I love the photo of the 2 cats enjoying a much earned sleep after all the excitement.
I was back at QVC for Boxing Day, which was great fun – such a joyful atmosphere and I love doing the sale shows and thanks for all your great texts and tweets!
Then on 29th December after an hour of Pilates with Marjolein, I jumped on the train to Cornwall to spend New Year with my extended family. We had a wonderful time together as we always do and the 4 days consisted of lots of lovely food, good wine, games and some wonderful country walks.
In the photo (left) you can see Stuart, Nicola and I off for a power walk in the rain. Such a shame I didn't get a waterproof Trespass, that is next on the list (I do have a fleece though and that kept me warm!). You can also see some photos from our New Year's Day visit to Polperro (have you ever been there?), a gorgeous fishing town in Cornwall where we enjoyed a walk, lunch and one of the only sunny afternoons we had! In the pictures you can see us all taking in the view from the cliffs, Stuart visiting santa (rather late!) at the Polperro craft fair and me outside the fudge shop where between us we bought flavours that included clotted cream, rum & raisin and salted caramel…. yum!!!!
So, back to QVC this Thursday for Household Helpers and Zumba, that should be fun, and then next week in my blog look out for SBC and Yankee candle TSV spoilers… 2 TSV's I am so excited about…. come back next week and I will tell you more!
Til then, have a very happy new year and as always I send you lots of love. Please leave a comment, I'd love to know what you got up to over Xmas and New Year…
