A new year and a new Diet Chef update…

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I definitely did – it was fab being with the kids for two weeks solid, and even though I was in work quite a few extra days because of colleagues being snowed in or poorly, it was lovely and relaxing. One of the best Christmases I've known if I'm honest! And, I didn't hugely overeat either partly due to the good habits I picked up during my weeks on Diet Chef.

Here are my before and after pictures…

Before - side After - side Before - front After - front

I hit the 14lb (one stone) weight loss mark before Christmas and was very, very pleased with some of the feedback and comments from family and friends whom I saw over yuletide.

My Daughter, just back from uni, said, 'Mum you look younger.' That's always a welcome comment, especially when not covered in telly-tart makeup! :-)) My sister-in-law said, 'You can definitely see you're slimmer round the waist' – always lovely to hear! And, I'm fitting into my clothes a lot better and more comfortably – less of the usual self-consciousness and 'have to stand up straight when the camera's on me' etc!

Don't get me wrong it's 'less' rather than not at all, as I've got another two stone to lose ideally, but I'm not setting myself tough targets. If I lose another stone by summertime, that's fine by me! The most important thing is to keep on the right path rather than slip into older habits of comfort eating.

Over the weekend, I also met Janet Thompson whose interesting Weight Loss In Mind programme of CD's and book struck a chord with me, and may do with you if you recall the original Freedom Eating programme. Look up her product if you need a friend to help you through weight loss.

It's also lovely to see all the fabulous comments continuing on our Diet Chef Forum – that's our own little support network too!

Well, with the new improved Diet Chef package launched, I'll look forward to getting back into it and to hearing your comments and feedback too!

More soon…

Best wishes,

Hi Debbie, well done you, fantastic results and you can see a real difference in your photos.
I actually gained 3lbs over Christmas, but not to worry, it’s back to the old DC and eating all the right things, so hopefully it will disappear again shortly. I was amazed by the amount of acid I had after my first nibble of Christmas fare, namely pastry – thank goodness it’s only once a year!
I started on DC again yesterday and can already feel a difference…no acid!!
Take care Debbie and keep up the good work…it shows! x

well done you! you can really see the difference and no doubt feel it too, you are right not to be too rigid and set goals too high, but keep it up, I am seriously impressed and considering DC now!! You can see your perseverance is paying dividends, WELL DONE!!

I’ve got a stone to loose to and tried to be a bit restrained over Christmas…… still put some weight on though! Oh well stick with it, it’s a great boost when you look so trendy in your fab clothes!!

Hi Debbie,it is great to see you back at QVC again, you really do cheer me up when you’re on especially when you giggle. Fair play to for allowing us to see inside your weight loss programme. The photos definately show how well you have done and makes me wish that I could get some definition into the areas that look so good on you. I love now watching to see all the lovely outfits that you are wearing, you look superb in them. Well done Debbie, you’re great.

Thanks so much ladies – really appreciate it! I did think twice about posting ugly before and after pics – you really put yourself on the line sometimes in this job eh! But I thought, to heck with it, it doesn’t matter, and if it helps someone then that’s what it’s all about! Yes it’s feeling great to have shed a couple of inches, tho like you I wasn’t strict over xmas but no probs it’ll soon come back off then onwards and upwards… or downwards!! hehe
