Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I definitely did – it was fab being with the kids for two weeks solid, and even though I was in work quite a few extra days because of colleagues being snowed in or poorly, it was lovely and relaxing. One of the best Christmases I've known if I'm honest! And, I didn't hugely overeat either partly due to the good habits I picked up during my weeks on Diet Chef.
Here are my before and after pictures…
I hit the 14lb (one stone) weight loss mark before Christmas and was very, very pleased with some of the feedback and comments from family and friends whom I saw over yuletide.
My Daughter, just back from uni, said, 'Mum you look younger.' That's always a welcome comment, especially when not covered in telly-tart makeup! :-)) My sister-in-law said, 'You can definitely see you're slimmer round the waist' – always lovely to hear! And, I'm fitting into my clothes a lot better and more comfortably – less of the usual self-consciousness and 'have to stand up straight when the camera's on me' etc!
Don't get me wrong it's 'less' rather than not at all, as I've got another two stone to lose ideally, but I'm not setting myself tough targets. If I lose another stone by summertime, that's fine by me! The most important thing is to keep on the right path rather than slip into older habits of comfort eating.
Over the weekend, I also met Janet Thompson whose interesting Weight Loss In Mind programme of CD's and book struck a chord with me, and may do with you if you recall the original Freedom Eating programme. Look up her product if you need a friend to help you through weight loss.
It's also lovely to see all the fabulous comments continuing on our Diet Chef Forum – that's our own little support network too!
Well, with the new improved Diet Chef package launched, I'll look forward to getting back into it and to hearing your comments and feedback too!
