I hope the festive season was a happy and peaceful time for you. It's always a very happy time at Chez Huntley and I'm always the biggest kid in the house. It's simply my favourite time of year and I hope I'll never grow out of my silly excitement. We ate well with the food I cooked from Green Seasons. It was utterly delicious!
Here in London a massive Christmas fair called Winter Wonderland takes place each year and I spent some very happy times there this Christmas time. It was so good I went twice! The first trip was with two of my very best friends, Mandy and Dave.
We all act our shoe size rather than our age so we excitedly ran about going on rides, eating lots of naughty foods and partaking of the odd mulled wine or two. We went early and stayed all day. It was so much fun so I purchased an ornament to remember our happy day out, which I had personalised.
The second trip I made there was with a big group of my buddies from QVC including directors, camera operators, floor staff and so on – the ones you rarely get to see on your screens but without whom we presenters would be lost!
It was the rainiest evening I've known in a long time! We didn't let that hinder our fun. It was such a great night with lots of laughter and Christmas cheer. Look at their little faces, doesn't it make you feel all warm and cuddly inside?
I was quite sad to take down the decorations but was left with many warm memories of Christmas 2012 to make me smile. So now we have a whole new year ahead of us…a blank page ready to etch with new memories.
I'm not one for brave New Year's resolutions as I always worry I can't stick to them but this year mine is simply to have 'dates' with each of my two children individually and all of us together at least once a month. Now, we do spend time together but I'm talking about taking the time to do something specific together rather than just the everyday.
Do you have any resolutions? Did you have a great Christmas and New Year? I'd love to hear from you. Stay warm & happy.
