Happy May Day!

Well the first of May has arrived and I'm missing my traditional way of celebrating. When I was a young lad we all used to traipse up to Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, and wash our faces in the morning dew before sunrise. This was supposed to ensure a youthful complexion!

Well, I know it hasn’t worked but it was fun going for a brisk walk at 4.30am and being accompanied by a lone piper as we climbed to the top of a volcanic plug. The cans of Tartan Special and rich tea biscuits helped to sustain us for the return trip. Mind you, if you fancy taking part, my advice is to take a torch as you need to find a piece of grass that the dogs haven’t visited!!

What ever you have planned for this bank holiday weekend I hope you enjoy it. If you don’t fancy scaling a mountain in pursuit of eternal youth, check out our skincare shop for a helping hand.

Sounds like fun and reminds me of a time when a friend and I decided to have a picnic and watch the sun rise on Mayday in the local woods. We got up at 3am to walk to the woods and were amazed at the number of dog walkers and joggers around but after a boggy and muddy walk in the dark we arrived and it was well woth it…All misty and etherial…nice picnic too…This year I will just be in the garden but hopefully it will be sunny hope you have a good weekend cheers Kay.
