Cairn terrier in the bushes

Happy Birthday! You’re three years old!

Hello!

It’s birthday celebrations for two very special family members! My adorable and very mischievous cairn terriers! I struggle to believe they’re now three years of age. Here are a couple of pictures from when they were much younger and their coats much shorter. Which reminds me, they need another brush and comb and the hair round their eyes needs trimming.

The years have flown by and not without their mishaps! TV remotes chewed, lost and buried. Mobile phones taken, endless socks missing and more trips to the vets than I care to mention! Thanks goodness for pet insurance!

Other than the veterinary trips I wouldn’t change a thing. They are supremely mischievous, naughty and cheeky but equally loving, caring, kind and loyal. They want to be everyone’s friend although cats and squirrels are an exception. My cairns like me, do love cats and squirrels… but in a very different way!

Happy Birthday!

Speaking of birthdays I’ve just bought these binoculars, from our website, for my other half. With her birthday just around the corner I duly asked if there anything in particular she would like and without hesitation her reply… ‘I’ve always wanted a pair of pocket binoculars!’ Perfect. Minutes later, order placed!

I’ve had a fair bit of time off over the last few weeks (I won’t mention the back – I don’t want to tempt fate!) and I’ve been listening to lots of radio and playing some of my favourite tracks and albums.

My BOSE sound system this morning did real justice to another of my favourite tracks from Queen. Brian May on guitar is just brilliant. I’ve found it on YouTube for you if you want a listen and the video is superb. Breakthru.

I’m back on air, very soon. Until then take care and see you soon.

Oh, and thanks for the lovely comments on Twitter. I’m @mecharliebrook if you’d like to get in touch or do leave a message below.

In the meantime… brush time for my cairns!
