Oh well, the wheels well and truly fell off the ‘Sweet Chariot’ with a grinding bump that brought all England fans back down to Earth – with the best part of a month left of the tournament left to run! The less said the better. : – ( Other than I hope the remaining Home Nations can bring us some rugby sunshine!
On a happier note, Tracey and I spent last weekend down on the Sussex Coast looking after my mum’s dog, whilst she went on a weekend break to the Isle of Wight with her local choir group. It also coincided with Toby’s 7th Birthday and I took this picture of him on The Promenade. The weather was stupendous for the time of year and perhaps was 2015’s last blast before the onset of the winter months.
We returned late on Sunday and awoke to pouring rain – Ellie, Toby and I got soaked and the unmistakable aroma of wet dogs pervaded Franklin Towers! Luckily Liz Earle came to the rescue… Really!?! I hear you exclaim, perhaps thinking that we doused them in Instant Skin Boost Tonic! No, just before I left work on Wednesday, I entered my dressing room to be greeted with a Liz Earle Goody Bag and inside were new products for me to try out including some gorgeous scented candles.
Yep, the new Liz Earle Botanical Candle Collection is coming to The Q very soon! They look amazing and the scents as you’d expect from this much-loved British Brand were exquisite. They are made from soy wax and bees-wax, and fragranced with pure essential oils for ‘a for a truly divine olfactory experience’. These new candles build on the success of the Eucalyptus and Rosemary Candle. So new for the Autumn season we now have: Rosemary and Rock Rose, Lavender and Basil and Damask Rose and Pink Pepper. The scents of the first two candles are also available as new fragrances for Liz’s new Hand repair. I think these premium additions to the Liz Earle range will be much-loved by her many customers around the world.
I mentioned a couple of blogs ago that I’d taken quite a few wildlife pics whilst on my Summer break in Menorca, so I thought I’d include this one of a stunning green lizard, I spotted basking on a dry stone wall. It warms me up just looking at it, but I know reptiles leave some of you cold – they are lovely really!
