Happy Birthday, Sleeping on the Job and Prizes!

1

Hello!

Hope you’ve had a good week so far.

Plenty of celebrations in the Brook household as our little Cairn Terriers celebrate their second birthday! Where has the time gone? It feels like yesterday when we were sent this photo of them at just 9 weeks of age.

I say two of them… It was only ever meant to be the one but my family were terribly worried that having just the one may mean she gets a little lonely if we pop out!

Well, firstly, I’d like to point out that they’re never left alone for more than a couple of hours at a time…at most! It was a clever tactic, on my family’s part, I eventually succumbed at the prospect and one Cairn became two!

Infact, it was a great decision. They truly adore each other and are great companions – just as they are for me and my family!

We’ve had a number of scrapes over the years with numerous visits to the vets. The taking of their temperature is never appreciated – I’m just grateful that methods are different and have evolved for us, mere humans, over the years!

Then, of course, there’s the destruction they’ve entertained us with! Mobile phones buried, obliterated and chewed, TV remotes gnawed and shattered, the shoes, slippers and socks which have disappeared and of course the shredding of a £20 note!

For all their mischievous ways (which I adore) they have brought so much happiness and love to our family. No matter what time I get home – morning, noon or night I’m always greeted with a happy wagging tail. I just adore my little rascals! Happy Birthday :-)

I’m really excited to be bringing you some fabulous prizes in the month of October. Including jewellery and a big hug! I’ll explain more next week. I’m just receiving confirmation on a bracelet and its value. The competition is likely to run on my Twitter. I’m @mecharliebrook. If you’re not on Twitter yet it would be great to have you join me and also be in the draw for the prizes coming up. Find out more in my next blog… exciting!

In the meantime. You know how much I love my sleep – zzzzzz! Well, I’ve been set the really tough task :-) of trying out our Cozee Home Today’s Special Value, which I’m launching this Sunday 28th September at midnight.

The range is simply divine and is best described as a giant hug for the entire body! It is sooooo soft and pampering against the skin and is really easy to care for too.

The TSV launches us into the Cozee Home Autumn/Winter season. Perfect!

We have three wonderful colour choices for you as well: Duck Egg Blue, Rose and Taupe. The design is reversible as well – polka dot one side and modern stripes on the other. The set includes pillow cases, a fitted sheet and a duvet cover. Charlie Bear, Heather, loves it too!

Cozee Home

Another fan of the range is our wonderful Jackie Kabler who kindly dropped me an email to tell me why she loves it too… here’s what she had to say!

“I’m slightly obsessed with Cozee Home bedding – I think I’ve bought ten or eleven sets now, lots for me plus gifts for my mum, father in law, niece….I want everyone in the world to have it! It’s just the cosiest, warmest, snuggliest bedding ever, and I couldn’t imagine winter without it. Even my husband, who didn’t like the sound of it and was most reluctant to try it, now adores it and constantly asks when it’s going back on the bed!”

I do hope you can join me this Sunday evening at midnight!

For now though, more birthday celebrations… Oh and the return of the ‘just for fun’ guess the picture! It’s a tricky one.

Take care and see you soon,

Charlie x

    Hi Charlie,
Happy Birthday to Misty and Bramble yes where has that two years gone. My two Labradors, Hinton and Diesel are two at the end of October, Celebrations that day.
Yes I know you love your two by the blogs and pictures you put up about them. And you are right they are always there for you what ever your mood their tail is still wagging and you get a lovely hug, more than you get from a lot of Human’s. My husband alway’s says a House is not a Home without a Dog.
All the hours of pleasure you get from them and the hours of love makes you forget they have ever been naughty and chewed up your best shoes or slippers.I watch the programmes on Battersea Dog’s home and it is heart breaking to see how some of those dogs have been treated. I always remember a young Labrador I rescued gosh was he nervous, he was petrified of Men. I spent hours with him, and we ended up with a lovely bond, he would not leave my side and when frightened he hung onto my sleeve. He turned out to be a lovely adorable happy Dog.
Cozee bedding, that is great, so cosy can’t wait to get mine back on the bed even my Husband likes it, so it must be good.
Don’t work to hard, and carry on enjoying those gorgeous dogs.
    Love Jean X
