Great to be back..and a BEAUTY full weekend ahead!

Hi all,

I hope your July has been fab & groovy! I've been very busy and hardly had a moment to blog..I'll have to fill you in with a 'coming soon' blog. Both of my young uns had milestone birthdays this month. As I to follow soon on that.

For now though I am very excited to say that we are still enjoying July very much at QVC as it is our Beauty Month! This saturday I'll be joining you at 11am for the gorgeous Lulu and a wonderful Today's Special Value..perhaps if it sells out we can get some more of her soulful singing live on air. From noon til 2pm I will be hosting a very special and much anticipated show 'Customer Beauty Awards Nominees'. Last year we held our first ever Customer Beauty Awards where you were able to vote for your faves and we've done it again this year so you'll be able to see some of our top rated beauty buys and enjoy in depth demonstrations and explanations from some of the beauty world's most knowledgeable experts. Our very own resident beauty expert, Alison Young, will be kicking off the beauty month grand finale at 10pm so do tune in for some top tips and great buys!

Now I'm getting spoilt for beauty shows this weekend because I have two top shows on sunday with you. I love Bare Esscentuals and the girls from B.E. have some real treats up their sleeves for us at 7pm. Despite what my bathroom shelves say I just don't think a girl can ever have enough make up! Especially when it's good for your skin!

At 3pm on sunday I have a show which I have been looking forward to for a very long time. It's 'Origins'. They've been around for the best part of 20 years and their products are heavenly, yet also effective, to use. I've been working closely with Lesley Crowther, our Origins expert, over the past week to really get to know the brand and have the massive perk of trying out the products themselves. As much as I love what goes in to them I also really appreciate what's left out, too. It's a very natural range but works with over 100 scientists to get the right results with extensive clinical testing on real women playing a major part in their research and development. Gorgeous and sensorial textures and fragrances. A real treat for me as it will be my first show.

I hope you get time to tune in for some beauty this weekend and I'd love to hear from you, too. Have you tried Origins already? What do think? Let me know and I'll see you at the weekend!

Love Catherine x

Loved the Origins show Catherine and thought you looked lovely. Do you mind me asking where you got the gorgeous dress you were wearing in that and the following hour?

Thanks for the kind comments! I think I’ll wear that dress every day as I got so many lovely comments yesterday! It was a rare treat from Karen Millen. I picked it up in the sale a couple of months ago. May still be out there.
    Hope that helps!

Hi Catherine, lovely to see you back. Hope Thomas does well in his exams and goes to Glamorgan uni!! I can recommend a very good restaurant nearby. Did I read somewhere that Pipa went there? Have you been to west Wales lately?we’re going there later this week as my Daughter’s on hols there.
Have to admit have not used Origins myself but friends have,at the moment I’m using A’Kin which is the best beauty product I’ve used-and there’s been a few!
How are your cats? Lexi’s fine but has to take medication everyday due to her Pancreatic problems and it’s costing a fortune-but I suppose cheaper than Vets bills in the long run!
Will keep in touch (hoping my luck’s changing-will keep you informed!)
    Take care
    Julie xx

Hi Catherine – can’t wait for this weekend’s Lulu Guinness tsv – it’s my birthday next week so I’ve been dropping hives hints to hubby – hope he’s listening. Will you be presenting any of the shows as I thought you were great last time. X x jan

    Hi Julie!
Great to hear from you again. I think you are right that Pipa went to Glamorgan Uni. In fact I seem to recall she really loved it, too. Here’s keeping every little thing crossed 🙂
No, I haven’t back to Wales for months now. I do love it so much and miss the Williams clan. I hope you have a magical break there, though. Enjoy!
Glad to hear Lexi is doing as well as she can, bless her little heart. The cats are all good here although Babycat has a few tangles which don’t bother her but she is being professionally groomed to release the little matts that have formed. She’d never had any problems with a good furmination frequently but strangely she seems to have suddenly got tangled! Gonna have to brush her twice a day from now on I think!
I know a lot of people who love A’Kin, too. I think what I really like most about Origins are the wonderful aromas. Just like a spa so make perfect pressies.
Keep as well as possible and love to you & yours, Julie. Thanks again for being so thoughtful in remembering me & my family. It’s so sweet of you.
