Great Taste Awards on QVC

0

Hello again, just a reminder to get your entries in for the Elemis competition giveaway, have a peep at my last blog, it’s easy and you have to be in it to win it!

I often think about what really matters to you in life, what makes us happy and glad that we’re alive, and aside from the obvious family, friends, health there’s a couple of things that make me really excited! That make me feel like I’m living life to the full; that is food, drink and travel!

I really care about what I consume but that doesn’t mean I always watch what I eat, it means I’m passionate about quality, tasty food that’s a pleasure to eat. Food/eating and drinking are some of life’s greatest pleasures, it’s a joy and in our western society where it’s plentiful we should be grateful.

I was delighted when QVC teamed up with The Great Taste Awards! Every year over 10,000 food and drink products put themselves through the rigorous process of The Great Taste Awards. Now over 400 judges, including specially trained food writers, critics, restaurateurs and chefs come together at 49 judging days from March through to early July. The winners and participants are all genuine food people who care about the quality and taste of their products who are proud to be associated with the award.

Today at 4pm, we will be welcoming some of the winners and their products into the studios to allow QVC customers at home to buy some of their produce. I’m the chosen one this year and I’ll get to taste it all on your behalf to let you know just how good they are.

Some of my favourites to look out for are Cocofina organic Coconut snack bars, great for that pick me up on the go, lovely consistency and of course great but subtle taste.

Then there’s Scarlett & Mustard Red Onion Marmalade, I had this to compliment a cheese board of Camembert, Stinking Bishop and Lancashire Bomb cheese (all naughty but extremely tasty).

Really chunky texture with an abundance of onion, robust and rich flavour, delicious washed down with a glass of Italian Primitivo.

Given that I don’t have a sweet tooth I’ve got to give Joe & Seph’s innovative flavoured popcorn a shout, caramel and sea salt is just something else.

So, tune in for a show of delicious food featuring Great Taste Award winner, hear from the producers themselves and what the judges had to say. Expect things to sell quickly!

My next blog will be announcing the winner of the big Elemis Competition!
