    Hi there,
I purchased the Alpha H range and the 1st time I used this was in a evening and as per the instructions i had a little tingling which was fine, however when using the product in the morning my face felt like it was burning when using the same products which did eventually subside however my face ended up really red and blotchy.
I am aware of the glychonic acid and just wandered if this is a normal reaction until my skin gets used to the products. I have stopped using this in the morning and continue to use Alpha H products at night time as I feel my skin seems to handle this better.
Any updates on this product would be greatly appreicated.

Hi Alison. My concern is with pores and the texture of my skin. My skin is quite good but the pores on my nose do bug me. I use the Liz Earle range and find it suits me. I have all the products and use them as and when my skin needs the different treatment. I use the dry/sensitive cream and the the normal in the summer. I have added the Alpha H liquid gold into my routine but i’m not sure this is best for the pores. I tried Elemis tri enzyme but found it very drying to my skin. I also use the Bare Escentuals foundation and range. Is there anything you can recommend for me please? Also, what would be the best treatment for my nails to go from acrylics to natural to get them strong? I absolutely love your shows and have learned so much from you. Many many thanks.
P.s. I don’t know if you remember but you did my makeup at the beauty bash with the Bare Escentuals Beautifull in pearls kit on the 4pm slot. Loved it and it was so nice to meet you.

    Hi, Alison.
My problem is redness around my nose area. It extends down from my nose on either side in triangle shapes to almost reach my lips, which when I’m cold can give me a bizare reverse clown like look! I am 40 this year and have had the problem for the last year or 2. My mum has a very red face also, but hers is all over so in some ways is less noticable than my strange nose! I use clinique foundation/powder to cover it but would really like a product that would reduce the redness so i don’t need foundation all the time. Does such a product exist? Thanks for your help,
    Mo, x

    Hi Alison
I suffer with dry lips and loved the Gatineau Electelle as it had
a slight pinky pearly colour to it and as well as correcting my drip cracked lip problem acted as a lipstick as well as I am not a lipstick person what a shame Gatineau no longer make this product. I am just coming to the end of my stock of Electelle and dont know what to use, I have tried Gatineau’s replacement product and although very good it doesnt come near to Electelle as far as I am concerned and a few other Gatineau devotees Electelle was a little bit of heaven in a tube. Plese please please could Andrew bring it back why on earth did they stop making it. In the meanwhile what other product would you recommend for my dry lip problem.
Now and again there is a product that stands the test of time and becomes a star this is product was definitely on that list. xxx
    Many thanks xxx

I use Elemis or Decleor products but as the weather has got warmer my pores have become even more enlarged and my forehead in particular is greasy. My make up just excentuates my pores and slides off quickly. I use either Bare Escentuals or Smashbox primer with High Definition foundation/concealer and Halo powder. Please help!

I ordered yesterday’s TSV, SBC set and I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and wanted to know if all the items are safe to use during my pregnancy?
I have not used any SBC products before and was attracted to the pack due to the propolis gel as my skin is looking awful with blemishes etc.
Do you have any other suggestions for helping my skin during my pregnancy?

    Hi Ali
I have always had “issues” with my skin. Painful breakouts etc, very oily and open pores.
I started using Elemis as my complete regime about 2 years ago. Its taken a lot of time and patience, but I got up yesterday morning, looked in the mirror, and actually thought I had gone to bed with my make up on. I almost cried when I realised it was actually my skin, and it looked fab.
My question is. I LOVE the Gentle Rose Exfoliator, and use it 5 times a week. Is that too much?
I would just like to thank you Alison, and Keeley, for firstly, bringing this range of products, and making it affordable enough so that we can all continue to use it, and also for the information and hints and tips so that we can enjoy using the products, and get the best results from them.

It is almost like the skin texture is different in these two areas. Can you recommend anything for it please? Thank you.

I recently bought the No-No. I know that the instructions state that not to use it if you have moles, but I have lots of “beauty spots” all over, like dark freckles. Is the No-No safe to use over these? as I am worried whether to use it or not.
Please can you answer as soon as possible so that I can use it if its ok.

I use the Clarisonic cleansing system twice a day and also exfoliate once a week and have a good skin care routine. Hope you can help me as these are really becoming a problem now.

Hi Ali, first of all i would like to say the value and honesty of QVC is above all else. i went to a spa this weekend, very lucky, and it was a decleor treatment, and they also had bare escentuals makeup, they had many kits, and triple the price of QVC, it hit home to me the value we are offerred from you and i cant thank you enough. the knowledge base i have due to your teachings is fantastic . i have one quick question, i am 41, have dry skin, all over, but during my facial the therapist put all products on my skin for dry skin and nothing anti-ageing which i thought i would of needed, is it possible that i can treat both. at present i am using melatogenine cleanser, (beautiful), and gatineau age benefit, serum and the eye product in the same range. thank you again for all that you offer, you also seem like a lovely, honest person and it is always better to buy a product from someone you trust.
    take care and stay happy!

Hi Alison, I have been a follower since the beginning! I used to use REN Monoi moisturising body rinse (one you use after you have washed and then you rinse with the body rinse and then briefly washed off) but cannot get it anymore. With all your vast experience in the industry could you please recommend something similar to use as I have tried different brands to no avail. I am currently using L’Occitaine shower oil, but as nice as it is, it isn’t the same as the REN. The smell and the way your skin felt after using it was brilliant especially when on holiday! I have learnt so much from you over the years and look forward to your reply. Please help, thank you x

    Hello Alison,
Please please give me your expert advice as I’ve tried so many brands of creams now. I suffer with eczema now and again on the face (around eyes and mouth), the usual, itchy, flaky skin which then splits and gets ‘angry’. I’ve tried Decleor, Liz Earle and nothing. I’m trying hard to not used medicated creams. I ordered the recent SBC TSV hoping the Propolis gel will help, also a couple of items from Bobbi Brown’s ‘Extreme’ range. I look and feel awful and the skin on my face is so painful.
On a different note, one of the comments complained about hard skin on the feet. I had a sample of ‘Pedistation’ foot cream some time ago and I have to say it was wonderful, can QVC please stock it?
    Many thanks in advance.

I am in my early 40s and have PCOS. One of the unfortunate effects is facial hair, some are really coarse and dark. I wax/ pluck to keep on top of it but the problem is I get spots due to ingrowing hair.
I use Liz Earle cleanse and polish every morning and evening, without fail, and do my best with exfoliation. I use LE deep cleansing mask and her gentle exfoliator, twice a week. My spots seem to get worse if I use them more frequently. Other exfoliators are just too rough.
I sometimes dot ABC tea tree oil on the spots but it doesn’t really help.
Would you have any advice please?

Hi Alison, I have worked my way through Decleor, Philosophy, Prescriptives, Lulu etc etc, since I started with you nearly 10 years ago & loved the results. However, it is my 60th birthday this year & I want a skincare routine that really has the wow factor. My lovely hubby says that this time cost is not an issue. I have always looked after my skin, wearing face cream every day since the age of 17 & eye cream since I was 27; I have also never gone to bed with my make up on. My only sin is one you will hate – I was a teenager of the 60’s & yes, I sunbathed with nothing more than coconut oil!!! SORRY, but you weren’t around then to advise me. Having confessed that….. gulp, thanks to you, I have stemmed some of the damage & my only real problems apart from a few sun marks on my cheek, are very dry, thin pale skin & suddenly now, the start of wrinkles around my eyes; no puffiness or dark circles though. Could you advise a full & extensive routine including exfoliation, face & eye masks etc so that I know I will have done my best for this special day.
Thank you for all your help over the years.
    Love & best wishes
    Penny from Anglesey

I’m confused about my skin type at the moment and seem to be overloaded with products from different ranges. I’m 37 and have normal/oily t zone skin. However over the last 10 months or so I have developed rashes down both sides of my temples, sensitivity, blotchy skin, congestion aswell as feathery lines around my eyes. Recently anti ageing products irritate my skin, thick cleansers with a cloth make my skin sore and skin washes make my skin tight.
Can you adivse me where to start? I currently use products from Alpha H, Decleor and Elemis.

She is studying for her exams at the moment so that would probably explain the dark circles.
She has a very basic skin care routine:
Cleanse and polish morning and evening
and propilis gel morning and evening as she has a few spots at the moment.
She does not wear make-up at all, i would like you to recommend anything that would sort her skin out but most of all something for the dark circles.

    Hi Alison, I am 54 & menopausal, yuk !
I have religiously cleansed.toned & moisturised since I was 15, thanks to my mums good example. I have also never sun worshipped & do not smoke. And, according to my pals, have always looked about 10 years younger than my real age.
My problem is that since the menopause its all been down-hill ! Although I dont really have wrinkles, my sensitive skin seems to be sagging , has enlarged pores to chin & upper lip & just seems to have given up its good behaviour.
I also exfoliate & use a mask weekly.
Products I use are from various ranges, Elemis, Gatineau, Lulus time bomb & Decleor.
What am I doing wrong, I feel 110 years old now, HELP !
The only thing apart from menopause is the fact that I have had a lot of stress over the past 2 years, have under-active thyroid & arthritis.

Hi Alison. I love all the advice you give, and having taken in everything over the past few years watching you – I have great skin generally. Recently though, something changed and I seem to react to my present Elemis range. I have tried SOS, but this seems to aggravate further. I have got hydrocortisone from the Doctor, but would like advice on a different range to try. I react to Liz Earle products too. I have itchy, blotchy, dry flaky patches all.over face and neck. Desperately need some comfort! Thanks for your invaluable advice as ever.

    Hi Ali,
I hit 40 and really needed to lose weight fast, I have done this, loosing 20kgs which is great but the skin on my body went really dry, fragile and crepey (not sure how you spell it!)
I have used natural based body moisturizers for several months so the dryness is improving but the texture is still awful.
Could you recommend anything to add, maybe a serum to try to boost the skin into repairing?
Thank you for all your help and advice,

I need help with my pores and skin texture. My skin is oily with huge pores and looks rough, dull and thick. I am black and i am 30 years old. I don’t suffer breakouts and have very clear skin even though i am oily all over. Can you please recommend a complete skincare regime for me. I have used alpha H range including liquid gold and it didn’t make any difference to the size of my pores. I have also used some philisophy and decloer for oily skin but nothing seems to help with my skin texture and huge pores. i will be grateful for your help.

I have started to use ultra sun anti ageing on my face but i am confused as to the order i should be using it. On the qvc site reading on how best to use, the suggestion is to apply ultra sun first and leave for 15-20 mins and then apply serum and moisturizer but i have a feeling Ali in one of your shows your advice was the ultra sun should be applied after the serum and moistturizers. Please help

Alison, I have recently started a skincare regime with Alpha H to reduce dark patches on my face. I have also bought the Ultra sun face 30 sun screen to wear.
The Ultra sun is to be used on cleansed skin, ok ! So when do I use my White gold. After the ultra sun or before, then use moisturiser if necessary on top ?

hi Alison, I am 48 years old and have had very bad crohn’s disease since I was 24. I finally had a stoma 3 years ago and my general health is much improved. I am beginning the menopause and am on hrt for mood swings, hot flushes and night sweats. When I was younger, my skin was fairly normal and easy to care for but now if I don’t use a rich enough moisturiser it gets very dry and tight and if I switch to a richer one like Gatineau Melatoganine, Elemis, Decleor, Liz Earle, after a few days, I come out in spots which just won’t go away. I am now using a cheap moisturiser from Aldi! I’ve also tried Alpha H products including liquid gold but they make my skin very reactive. Other products from QVC that I have tried but have made my skin either too dry or too spotty are AD Skin Synergy, SBC, Clientele, Gale Hayman and Philosophy. I just can’t seem to get the balance right. My skin is also starting to sag around the jaw line and I have quite a few lines on my face too even though I use ultrasun and keep out of the sun and drink lots of water! Please help me!!

I have always been thorough with my cleansing routine & moisturization BUT nothing seems to be working for me any more and the shriveled appearance seems to be getting worse!! I am jumping now between my regular brands… Liz Earle, Gatineau & Decleor and have also tried Prai and Judith Williams BUT alas they made my skin more reactive. Your advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

    Hi Alison,
My name is Debbie and I am a regular watcher of your show.
I was wondering if you could give me some of your expert advice on a problem I am
    having with my skin.
I am a 40 year old woman who uses Decleor, Elemis and Liz Earle and always have
    had good skin.
During the past few months I have been experiencing sensitive breakouts and
dull skin which I never suffered from before.
The breakouts I have do not all go away especially around the chin area and they are
leaving red marks on my skin when they do go away.
Recently I changed to ‘sensitive skin wash’ by Elemis and have seen no improvement.
Before this I used Liz Earles ‘cleanse and polish’ for many years with no problems.
Before Christmas I spent some time in hospital which resulted in me getting a pace
    maker fitted.
Any advice you can give me would be really appreciated.
    Best regards,

    Hi Alison
I am 24 and have very prominent laughter lines when I smile which I have had from a very young age. However, these have now started to become visible even when I don’t smile and feel this isn’t normal for someone my age. I also have puffy skin under my eyes and both of these issues combined really get me down and I feel they make me look a lot older than I am.
At the moment I am using Cleanse & Polish followed by Gatineau Melatogenine Future Plus Eye Concentrate and Decleor Hydra Floral as my day and night routine. Do you think these are the best products for me? I would say my skin is combination as I still have an oily T-zone and frequently get spots on my jaw and chin. I have started using Alpha H Liquid gold on these. Please let me know if I am doing the right/wrong things as I would love to look my age again!

I’ve suffered with occasional white spots on my face since my twenties. I’ve tried everything to get rid of them without success. One beauty advisor in a large department store during the seventies when I first noticed the spots advised me to stop eating chips. Strange thing is that I very rarely eat chips, then or now. Would it help if I used a toner? I prefer to wash with water so these are the cleansers I choose, thus don’t use a toner.

    Hi Alison,
Im 41 and have a few questions/frustrations re layering products so they work well on the skin and remain effective. Firstly I have combination skin with fairly large pores around my chin, forehead and cheek area. I have tried layering a foundation spf 15 over tinted light weight sunblock spf 25, but am finding I end up with foundation separating into my pores, do you know why this might be? I wanted to wear a primer, followed by my tinted spf 25, followed by my foundation spf 15 all oil free, as I have tiny broken thread veins on the top of my cheek bone and permenant redness, is this the correct way to layer these products so they remain efective and do not break up on application? Can you give me any tips on application or types of products that layer well,i.e sunscreen for the face and foundation? Many thanks. Sharon (Lancashire)

    Hi Alison,
I’ve been trying to sort out a decent skin care regime but have so many skin problems that I’m stuck and need some advice!
I’m 29 and over the last 18 months or so have developed acne rosacea and it’s really quite bad, my cheeks are really lumpy and red and also very very flaky and dry. I have a very pale complexion that never previously went red although does burn very easily, black hair (including horrible facial hair) and very pale grey eyes which are very sensitive to light and most moisturisers.
I’ve made sure I’m getting my five a day and drinking plenty of water and my doctor doesn’t seem concerned about what he sees as superficial or cosmetic problems.
Liz Earle sorted my skin out about 5 years ago when it was very sensitive and dull looking so I tried the hot cloth cleanser, toner and the moisturiser for dry skin. The moisturiser has made my skin burn and sting, the toner doesn’t seem to do anything and my skin just doesn’t feel clean, I now have loads of blackheads on my nose and chin and on the parts of my cheeks closest to my nose. I want to go back to an exfoliating cleanser (I usually use one with granules or beads in it) but don’t want to be over harsh to my very sensitive skin. In the past I’ve had to cleanse with aqueous cream because everything else gave me a reaction. My skin seems to like foaming gel kind of cleansers more than creamy ones because it just feels dirty otherwise. Maybe I’m doing something wrong. I think I’m looking for a deep cleansing and exfoliating cleanser, a refreshing toner and very intensive moisturiser with a good SPF.
I also have wrinkly eyelids and dark circles under my eyes (I’ve had these since childhood) and have never used any eye cream as my eyes are so sensitive I’m a bit scared. Sometimes my eyelids get sore or flaky so I’d like to know where to start there.
I also have a lot of unwanted facial hair, I’m unsure of whether this can be affected by which skincare products I use but I definitely don’t want to make it worse.
Finally, I get quite large and sometimes painful spots around my jaw line, they’re not always red so are not that noticeable, but if extra spot fighting powers can be added in to my new skin care routine I’d be very grateful.
I really hope you can help!

    Dear Alison…..
I’m 29 (very nearly 30), and I’ve been on SSRI medication for almost 18 months now. I have combination skin on my face & normal/dry on my body, but, in the past 8 months I’ve had non-stop acne on my cheeks, chin & nose.
I’ve also had spots on my chest & shoulders. As well as bad ingrown hairs on my legs (especially my calfs) & armpits for the past 4/5 years & recently they have gotten worse.
Some of the acne & spots are light, but then I get some that’s very deep, blocked, swollen, painful & embarassing, and what I have managed to get rid of has left me badly scarred.
I’ve tried all sorts of things. I do everything I’m supposed to do, even down to exercising regular, watching what I eat (as I have food allergies) & enough daily water, yet nothing appears to help my face or my body.
What would you recommend I do? Try something new, ask my doctor or go to a dermatologist?
Please help me Alison….I want to feel beautiful again.

Hi Alison, I have been told by the endocrinologist that I have a shortage of Vitamin D in my body and am losing too much calcium, but not enough to warrant me having any of my para thyroid glands removed. Thankfully the osteoporosis scan I was sent for did not show any problems with the condition of my bones. However, the consultant has advised me to get out into the sunshine on as many occasions as I can and be in it without sun protection for a minimum of 15 minutes or longer if possible on eacg occasion. I have always avoided being exposed to the sun as I have a very pale skin and burn and blister very easily, having done so from being a child. Even the backs of my hands and my ear lobes and my eyelids and the rest of my face will burn very quickly if I do not use Ultra Sun protection or the Bare Minerals sun powder, both of which are excellent for me. I have just had my 60th birthday and am rather concerned and confused about how to follow the consultant’s advice about Vitamin D absorbtion without exposing my very susceptible skin to the sun. I use Liz Earle, Elemis and Gatineau products for my skin routine and also use Laura Geller and Bare Escentuals make up. Any advice would be great. Thanks so much for all the fab beauty makes and quality products you bring to QVC and for your excellent knowledge and tips. I alwaya enjoy your shows and love your wicked sense of humour, particularly when you are with Leighton and Keeley. Many thanks in grateful anticipation. Sue x

I have spent hundreds of pounds on every face product you can imagine trying to find what’s right for me – and I can never find one range just to stick to because I have so many problems!
I get alot of bumps under my skin – spots that never seem to come to head, which leaves me with uneven skin texture. I have blackheads on my nose as well. I have fine lines around my eyes already, and some dryness. I have old acne scars as well which show up red. I am allergic to lanolin and heavily perfumed products so have to be careful. It really gets me down, and I’d love to wear less make-up but I ust can’t seem to settle into a routine – I’ve tried Alpha H and Liz Earle and although they’re nice, after a while I get bored and stop seeing results.
please help me get the healthy, youthful skin I’m supposed to have in my twenties!

I have always had sparce, fair, short eyelashes and at 58 they are getting worse. Please can you suggest a full on mascara that does everything, thickening, lengthening, curling? I like brown mascara as it doesn’t look as hard as black.
    Many thanks.

    Hi Alison,
I’m 33, have fair skin and have been using Liz Earle products for the past 4 years. However, approx 2 years ago I suddenly started getting dark sun spots/pigmentation (forehead & upper lip) which I assume is a result of sun damage when I was in my teens. Although I now always wear ultrasun spf30 from top to toe when sunbathing, I now think its time to wear a spf every day, especially in the summer months under my makeup.
My question is whether or not I can use both Alpha H products (such as white gold in the evening) to help reduce the seasonal pigmentation, and Ultrasun face spf30 during the day. The reason being is that I’ve recently read that glycolic acid doesn’t work particularly well with Ultrasun, is this true?
Really hope you can help Alison – your advise would be really appreciated especially as my skin seems to be getting worse.
    Many thanks

    Hi Alison
I am 53 and in the last year have managed to get my weight down and maintain it. The result of this process has left me with a baggy and crinkly neck. I moisturise thoroughly day and night and have always taken this over the neck as well but this doesn’t seem to be having much effect. I’ve always been told my skin looks young for my age and this change has made it go the other way. Can you recommend a cream that would help to try and minimise this look? I’ve used Elemis and other spa type products
    Many thanks

    Hi Alison!
Firstly, thanks to you and all the great brands on QVC, I have seen a large improvement in my skin and have a greater understanding of my skin in general.
I’m wondering if you could help me,
I’m african-carribean and I have issues of dark marks from past acne. I’ve been alternating between tri-enzyme wash & alpha-h liquid gold (i’ve tried white gold, but feel i’ve seen better results with liquid gold) and i use Liz Earle products daily. I am happy with the results, but just wondering if there is anything else that could perhaps speed up the process a bit?
I have to wear foundation (with SPF) daily to help cover up the marks, is this SPF protection enough? or should i be wearing a SPF cream as well as?
Lastly, i’d love to wear a more natural looking foundation (instead of the liquid one currently use), but it needs to cover my dark marks, is there such a product? I’ve struggled to find one so far (I have combination/oily skin, sensitive to breakouts)
Thank you very much, i love QVC beauty!

    Dear Alison
I am very pale and I really really want to take your advice about sun protection, but have a couple of questions – if using an SPF that isn’t designed to last like Ultrasun, eg. if you used a normal spf cream or had an SPF in your moisturiser or foundation – is it enough or does its effectiveness wear off during the day?
I’m guessing yes so I’d really like to use the Ultrasun – is it ok for oily and reactive skin? Would you recommend it all year round in place of day moisturiser? I’d like to get the anti ageing effects of other creams, but if the SPF in them just wears off then…??
With Ultrasun, does it go instead of moisturiser and under make up?
Please save me from the leathery look – most sun creams make me break out or get a redness reaction so hoping Ultrasun could help.
Thank you Alison! Loving your work!!

    Hi Alison
I have recently started getting painful ingrowing eyelashes on my lower rim. They start with a little dent appearing in the rim as the eyelash tries to grow up and eventually it breaks through and starts to scratch the cornea. I have them removed at eye casualty. I do not wear mascara on the lower lashes just Bobbi Brown eyeliner gel along the lashline applied with the lovely soft brush that came with the duo and mini mascara. Any ideas what I’m doing to encourage them? Is the gel eyeliner causing them as it is so waterproof? I would be grateful for any advice? Thank you.

Hi Alison, I need help! Over the years several doctors have told me not to shave. I get blocked pores and ingrown hairs. I have tried epilation and shaving but wondered if I should try the NO NO. Do you think It would be better for my skin? If not, what alternatives do I have. The last Dr said I should just trim the hair low rather than removing it completely.
I have oily congested skin and use Liz Earle but I find that my skin is becoming dryer or rather dehydrated. Sometimes I sleep in the nourishing face mask which really plumps my skin. I still get shiny throughout the day and I use skin repair light but my skin is often tight.
I used to use prolagene gel on my face and would like to know if collagen gel (SBC) would work in the same way for acne scarring and generally refining the skin. I have sensitive skin and eyes and want a more refined appearance. Would Elemis Tri-enzyme be suitable?

I try to give my face moisture using origins Mega Mushroom moisturiser to treat the sensitivity and cleanse in the evening only with Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish. I like to wash my face rather than cleanse & dislike the feel of heavy creams or lotions which seem to leave a greasy film on my face. I prefer to use waters/gels. I have dark circles under my eyes & some areas of hyperpigmentation which worsens during the summer months. I am looking for an inexpensive straightforward skin care routine & also some advice on which mineral based matt facial sun screens I could use which would not cause blemishes, grease or shine. I would value your advice as there are hundreds of products on the QVC site & I really don’t know where to start! Thank you…

    Hi Alison
I have a question regarding sun cream for the face. I have rosacea and use a cream on my cheeks as prescribed by the doctor. Usually if I stay in the sun my face tends to catch sun burn, can you recommend a sun block for the face. Thankyou.

I am a big fan of Mally makeup. However I have a black eye pencil that will not give any colour at all on the inner rim of the eye. Only when I apply pressure to the back of my hand. Can you please advise how to resolve this please. This has only happened with the full size. The try me size was excellent hence me buying the full size

    Hi Alison,
I watched the launch of the beauty awards show this week and I loved the purple nail polish you were wearing. I would be grateful if you let me know which shade (& brand) it was. I rang too late to the studio to find out (this was the day when your show was at 10pm and it was followed by Liz Earle’s TSV & midnight show).
    Many thanks!

    Hi Alison,
I’m nearly 29 and a big fan of wearing eye liner on the inside rim of the eye but I find it difficult to remove it all and there are always traces left. Please Please Please could you recommend an eye make up remover that will remove all traces of black eye liner and recommend an eye cream/serum to help prevent lines.
    Thank you

Dear Allison, I am hoping you can help me, for years now I have used A LA Carte matte miricle but now Qvc have discontinued it. I have oily skin and suffer from quite severe acne rosacea. This flares up with most make up. I only use dermalogica and doctor perricone products. I can not use foundation and have tried many makes. I found Matt miracle just covered my skin enough to disguise the rosacea and did not irritate me. Is there anything similar that you could recommend to me. thank you. Janice bell

Hi Alison, my daughter is 23 and has just finished chemotherapy for breast cancer and is now having herseptin. She has to use suncream at the slightest bit of sun, she uses nivea spf 50 which is fine but it has to be applied often. She is going to spain on holiday soon would ultrasun be suitable for her? It would be great for her if she just had to apply it once a day even at home. Thank you

    Hi Alison,
I have developed dark discolouration on my face. It looks a bit like a pregnancy mask. I have tried several different products to lighten and even out my skin but nothing seems to help. Have you any suggestions? Would be very grateful for your advice.

Hi Alison, I would be grateful if you could give me some advice as to facial hair removal. I have a few coarse dark hairs on my chin, lip and neck, which up until now I have been plucking, but I also have quite long white hairs on the side of my face all the way down my neck, which are more prominent when I put foundation on. I have been looking at the No! No! 8800 system and was wondering whether you would recommend this or would another system be better. I am obvisouly very apprehensive and concerned that if I was to start using a system that the hair would grow back more coarse and I would be in a worse situation. Any help or suggestions you could give me would be very much appreciated.

    Hi Alison,
I am 43 and have just been told I am in early menopause. My hair is very fine and has been dyed on a regular basis now for 15 years+ and now has become very dry and lifeless, where once it was shiny and bouncy. I also blow dry it everyday to style it, which no doubt contributes to the problem. I have also noticed recently that it seems to be thinning at the front and small bits are breaking off when I just run my fingers through my hair when it is dry. I wash my hair every 3-4 days, as it does not need everyday washing. What would you recomend to improve the condition of my hair?

    Hi Alison
I’m 39 years old, use decleor cleanser and toner which has been perfect for me for about 8 years. I have tried various moisturisers and find Decleor not suited but constantly try others and my skin seems ok with this. The problem is i sometime suffer with eczma on the lid of my left eye and it looks like a big red blob of saggy skin. Can you recommend anything for this as have tried lots of creams, reluctantly, as i know its a sensitive area. This only works for a week or so and then it comes back, after a few times i try something different. I use betnovate ointment and cream for little patches of eczma elsewhere but am worried about using this in the eye area. Any advice would be great, i think your shows are the best, thankyou

    Hi Ali,
I’m 19 and at the minute I’m struggling with large pores on my cheeks, blackheads and whiteheads, mainly on my cheeks and the side of my face, this makes my face look like it has tiny little bumps all over, I can cover my skin with Bare Essentials but in certain lights you can still see these little lumps.
I’ve always used Liz Earle as my Mum brought me up on it,
I’m using the gentle exfoliator most days along with cleanse and polish and the toner then putting philosophy moisturiser on to regain some moisture from exfoliating.
I’m just wondering if I need to change the range of skin care I’m using or if there’s anything that I can add into it!
Is there anything that you can suggest to help me?
    Thankyou 🙂

It was a beautiful silver shimmery colour and I’d like to purchase it if available through QVC. No one on your customer line seemed to be able to help me find out.

I am looking for something to add to my beauty regime that will reduce the apperance of fine lines which is reasonably priced. I already use Liz Earle and have tried Judith Williams 3 piece Phytomineral Eye Cream, Serum & Moisturiser.

    dear alison,
i used now sadly discontinued HOPE IN A BOTTLE for 2 years. it was the best ever moisturiser for my skin.
can you recommened similar product in qvc please ?
i think the possible fruit acid in `hope in a bottle` peeled off the dead skin cells and left my skin feeling soft, tingling and silky.
i have flaky dry patches in my forehead and by the nose. my skin used to be oily, but now at 40 is normal.
other moisturisers i have tried in the past(decleor, liz earle, elemis) cant get rid off dry patches.
i have used for years liz earle cleanse/polish and brightening mask. both great products.
but now i need a moisturiser badly !
    please recommend a replacement to `hope in a bottle` ?
    kind regards,

    Hi Alison,
I’m 27 and always had really good clear skin except for over the past few weeks. Its suddenly very dry, sometimes oily forehead and breakouts. My skin is also lifeless and dull and the skin under my eyes, is naturally dark dispite drinking plenty of water. I am currently using dermalogica cleanser twice daily and the exfoliator at least twice a week although I do find the Elemis melting cleanser fantastic when I have used it but I do understand I need to give a new brand a chance. Its so hard to find someone to help. You can’t go to a doctor nor a beauty therapist as they only promote certain brands. I would like to know the best cleanser/toner, moisturiser you name it. Please guide and help as much as you can as this problem can be quite upsetting.
    Thank you in advance

Hi Alison, Please help….I am 33 year old mum of two and age is catching up with me FAST! I have noticed quite alot of fine lines just outside my smile lines which to me seem very noticable, my hubby says no but i feel when i wear makeup to hide them it just seems to look worse. I was hoping you could recommend a product which would put some plumpness back into that area. If i lightly lift the cheek skin the lines disapear, i have a quite oily skin too so i do tend to stick to oil free creams. I would love to try cleanser plus creams if possible that wont break the bank….PLEASE HELP !

    Hi Alison,
Firstly let me say a HUGE thank for continuing to bring a beautiful array of products to QVC. We are spoilt for choice! Inspired by all that I have & contnue to watch on QVC I’ve found the courage & conviction to leave my current job/career (which I’ve done for 15yrs) & follow my dreams of becoming a beauty & holistic therapist. I’ve just completed all my training, but would like to further advance my knowledge & being a true advocat of the Decleor & Elemis ranges, I was wondering if you knew how (if at all possible) I can train with these brands & retail their products. I would truly welcome & respect your advice, as I have all these years. Thanks & kind regards, Katie
