Brighten up for summer!

Hi everyone,

The dizzy heights of summer are just around the corner, so now is the time to go crazy with colour and print. Tomorrow and Friday you will be able to treat yourself to some fab accessories and beautiful bold and exciting pieces from the likes of Butler and Wilson, Birkenstock and Michele hope.

Think Hawaii-style printed lace kaftans with sequined embellishment by Michele Hope, glamorous floral necklace and earring sets from B&W and bright fuchsia pink Birkenstocks.

Tomorrow's TSV is a gorgeous floral B&W necklace and earring set that is just perfect for summer. And on Friday we have a fabulous Birkenstock TSV - not to be missed trust me!

So to sum up, let’s all embrace print and colour as I did last weekend in sitting in the garden!

Style spy: Claudia Sylvester

Hello everyone,

Earlier this week I ran into the lovely Claudia. She was sporting a very on-trend animal-print dress (right), so I took a few snaps to show you.

Her sleek and simple black dress has a subtle animal print, which is still making its mark this summer, but in more muted and neutral tones.

Clever dressing is key...

Claudia is a busy working woman, and she believes the trick is in 'clever dressing'. One-piece outfits are quick and hassle free, and can be easier to accessorise than a two-piece outfit.

"The only worry is the all-important shoes," Claudia added. Claudia chose kitten heels giving the outfit a smart and professional look.

Accessories make an outfit...

Claudia has finished her outfit perfectly with Honora pearl jewellery (left). Pearls give the outfit a chic and elegant look without looking as if she has tried too hard. Claudia informed me that no girl is ready to face the day without her lipgloss, and I spied a Bare Escentuals gloss in her stylish Stone Mountain bag.

Think you're a bit of a fashion expert? Well, take our 'Guess the year' quiz and see how much you really know!

I've found some short clips of the presenters from the QVC archive, and all you have to do is guess the year for each clip from their clothes and make-up! But be warned, they're very short clips so this is going to be a hard one...

Style spy: Alison Keenan

Hi all,

I bumped into Alison K catching up on some work and running a few errands around QVC Towers. As she was looking rather chic, I snapped a few sneaky pics to show you how you can recreate Alison's laid-back look.

Alison is wearing a chic, longer-length black jumper paired with  faded black jeans. But what makes the outfit special are her accessories - Ali has paired the jeans with high-heeled, black knee-length boots which not only add height and give the illusion of longer legs, but also give the outfit a sassy twist.

To give the jumper some shape, Alison has popped a wide belt on - a good trick for accentuating your waist.

Finally Alison has finished the look with a string of Honora pearls and a Diamonique bracelet.

Alison has kept her make-up simple

A slick of mascara and a dusting of blush give her a fresh-faced glow. Alison recommends using Tova mascara as it doesn't flake and Smashbox blush as the colours are nice and natural.

To recreate Alison's look... go for a longer-length top like this one (right) from Beth Terrell. Pair it with your favourite jeans and knee-high boots. Have a look at Rockport's Archmount boots, as they will give you height as well as being comfy to wear.

Accessorise with a pearl necklace, but go for a steel grey, blue or other dark pearl for a modern twist on classic pearls - have a look at the Honora range. Alison is also wearing an expandable Diamonique bracelet  - perfect for adding a touch of glamour to your outfit,

Style Spy: Pipa Vanderburg

Hi everyone,

I spotted Pipa catching up on some work recently, looking super stylish. Check out her relaxed winter look. She's sporting some uber-cool Emu boots that not only look fab, but keep her feet snug in the colder weather.

Accessory-wise, Pip's chosen a chunky cocktail ring and a gorgeous Kathy Van Zeeland bag. I'm a big fan of Kathy Van Zeeland bags, they're good quality and always have lovely detailing.

Pip's finished her chilled-out look with a fluffy Dennis Basso shawl. This is a great tip for adding a little glam to an outfit - drape a scarf or shawl around your shoulders for a chic winter look.

Claudia's Christmas fashion

Hi all,

Claudia and I had a natter about what she will be wearing on Christmas day and what she's hoping appears under the Christmas tree this year...

Glen: What will  you be wearing on Christmas day?

Claudia: I'm going to wear a red strapless satin dress with a little black bolero cardigan over the top. I made the decision ages ago that I'm doing 'glam' this Christmas day as I'm cooking for seven with all the trimmings, and then I'm doing a spread for 17 in the evening. So I figured that if dressed really glam no one will notice if I'm a little stressed!! Great idea hey!?

Alison and Jilly's Christmas fashion

Hiya,

I caught up with Alison and Jilly and had a chat about Christmas and all things fashion...

Glen: What will you be wearing on Christmas day?

Alison: I'll be wearing my nightie and dressing gown because we open presents first thing. Then I'll put on a bright red cashmere cardigan and a black pencil skirt with high heels (well initially until my feet start to hurt, then slippers!). Oh, and of course my Honora pearls.

Jilly: I'll probably be wearing pyjamas until 12 noon with a bit of luck! Christmas day is always a real relaxing family day so no dressing up required. I'll probably chuck my jeans on when we visit family for Christmas dinner.
