The presenters talk Christmas fashion...

  Hi fashion fans,

As you know I've really been getting into the Christmas spirit, and so I asked some  of the presenters about what they'll be wearing on Christmas day and if they've made any funny festive fashion mistakes…

 So what will you be wearing on Christmas day this year?

Debbie F: Oh hopefully something smaller than I’m wearing right now! Diet Chef is on the horizon!!

Jilly: Hopefully PJs until at least 1pm!

Debbie G: An apron as I spend so much time cooking!

Alison Y: I don't dress up on Christmas Day - I'm running round like crazy. So I start in jodhpurs and pretty much stay in jodhpurs. I'll also be wearing odd socks with holes in guaranteed, unless someone has bought me new socks and then I'll be wearing those.

I'm never watching the X Factor again!

Hi all ,

Is it just me or is the X Factor meant to be a singing competition? I sat for the first time this weekend and watched both shows - it was a travesty that the great performers in the bottom two had to sing for their supper.  At the end of the show on Sunday evening I vowed never ever to sit through that again, how do you feel about it?

How do you manage your weekend viewing, do you surf between QVC and your other favourite channels or do you wait for breaks?

On a fashion point, I ordered a pair of black patent Clarks loafers for my lovely wife Sue last week, which by the way are adored by the girls at Grazia and Vogue (they've said that the Clarks loafer is one of the coolest around).

When Sue received her parcel she was very pleased and now a week later has decided to order another pair of the same for work, as they are unbelievably comfortable and work well with her cropped trousers, shift dresses and opaque tights.

The second pair is for the weekends with her skinny jeans and oversized knitwear.  I have always said if you find something you like don’t be afraid of buying more than one, for example I have at least eight navy blue cardigans all from the same shop and all exactly the same style.

What's it like to be... a QVC model?

Hi everyone,

A big part of presenting on QVC is working with the models. All our models are lovely and I caught up with the bubbly Sally Rom (right) to find out what it's like to be a QVC model...

What's it like being a model here at QVC?

It's great fun. I work hard but thoroughly enjoy the job. I enjoy live TV because you never know what's going to happen next.

What's your favourite part of the job?

Coming to work at QVC is a real pleasure. I have so many favourite bits but the great family atmosphere and warm friendly people I work with have to be the best parts.

Tell us about a normal day at work...

I arrive at QVC an hour before the live show. In that time I normally get my cuppa and sit in the model room and finalise my hair and make-up. There's usually another model on air with me so a good catch-up happens about now too!

Meet Jonathan - our guest for the Pre-Season Fashion event

As I've hurt my back and can't host Pre-Season Autumn Fashion event, we are lucky enough to have Jonathan Ellis joining us. I had a chat with him to find out all about your guest...

G: Are you looking forward to coming to QVC?

I am so happy to be given this new opportunity at QVC. I have made some wonderful friends here who have always championed my work and enthusiasm.

G: Have you been a guest before?

I have been a guest presenter many times now... my new line is Wearable Art by Bob Mackie which is getting a real following. I have to say I enjoy working with all the presenters - everyone has a different approach and it's nice to be able to bounce off that. I have to say though... I do have a soft spot for Pipa. We are quite similar in our style and instantly clicked the first time we were on air together.

G: Are you looking forward to coming to QVC?

I absolutely love coming to QVC, it's like a home from home to me. There is always a great atmosphere, both on set and behind the scenes. I love working on the fashion events as they're great fun and can really inspire everyone to try different styles or wear colours they haven't tried before.

My birthday and The Great QVC Summer Sale

Hi all you fashion lovers,

Monday the 27th July is a big day, not only is it my 48th birthday but more importantly for you it's The Great QVC Summer Sale!

Last year I celebrated my birthday at Jamie Oliver's lovely restaurant 15 at Watergate Bay, Cornwall.  Check out the Campbell clan and friends outside the restaurant (top left) - as you can see black was the chosen fashion statement for all the girls! I'll let you know what they opt for this year.

Back to the sale - the day kicks off with Michele Hope, mix into that a spattering of Nina Leonard some wardrobe essentials from Casual & Co as well as the ladies favourite Kim & Co.

Their will be a full hour dedicated to your feet with Shopping for Shoes, and the day will be wrapped up by Beth Terrell. At which point hopefully (back injury allowing), I will be sipping cocktails after a fabulous seafood meal at Porthminster Beach Café in St Ives, one of my most favourite places to be.

My daughter's fundraiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust

Hi there everyone,

I just wanted to let you know how proud I am of my daughter Sophie (left). She organised a charity event last week called Trekstock, to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The night was a massive success with the uber-cool Mark Ronson (right) headlining the entertainment. There was a sprinkling of music and fashion celebrities as well as a handful of well-known faces from TV.

Sophie did so well and I'm so proud of her.

Style spy: Claudia Sylvester

Hello everyone,

Earlier this week I ran into the lovely Claudia. She was sporting a very on-trend animal-print dress (right), so I took a few snaps to show you.

Her sleek and simple black dress has a subtle animal print, which is still making its mark this summer, but in more muted and neutral tones.

Clever dressing is key...

Claudia is a busy working woman, and she believes the trick is in 'clever dressing'. One-piece outfits are quick and hassle free, and can be easier to accessorise than a two-piece outfit.

"The only worry is the all-important shoes," Claudia added. Claudia chose kitten heels giving the outfit a smart and professional look.

Accessories make an outfit...

Claudia has finished her outfit perfectly with Honora pearl jewellery (left). Pearls give the outfit a chic and elegant look without looking as if she has tried too hard. Claudia informed me that no girl is ready to face the day without her lipgloss, and I spied a Bare Escentuals gloss in her stylish Stone Mountain bag.

I've found some short clips of the presenters from the QVC archive, and all you have to do is guess the year for each clip from their clothes and make-up! But be warned, they're very short clips so this is going to be a hard one...
