It CAN'T be nearly two months since my last blog here – where on earth does the time go?! Time for a catch up! Last time I blogged, we were just heading off to Tenerife for ten days of sunshine, togetherness, water fights, food, rest, no technology etc etc and we weren't disappointed!
The weather was beautiful, the resort was great, we met some wonderful people on the plane over who ended up staying in the same place – all in all we had a ball! Both Fiona from Decleor and Abi from Ultrasun had suggested it to me and it's always good to have a recommendation – shame we weren't all there at the same time as I'm sure it would have been even more of a riot!!
Since getting back I hit the ground running like I knew I would. The plan was to go away then return and get the house ready to put on the market – which I did and it went under offer very quickly! In the preparations, I filled a full size skip in three days which I thought was quite impressive – and yet you STILL can't move in the garage!
I was thrilled it went under offer so quickly though because keeping the house spotless for all the viewings was exhausting! I kept trying to get the children to play "pretend the house isn't ours and don't touch anything" – not a chance! That AND having my Aunt over from Tasmania for a couple of weeks meant it was all rather busy to say the least … this is me and my mum at Wisley gardens (picture below) – we took my Aunt there when the sun popped out!!
So, providing all continues to go as planned, we are heading slightly further afield where there is more green than grey (can't vouch for the sky) and space for some more animals (possibly chickens) and adventures! I'll keep you posted on that
So, what with selling/moving house, redesigning and building The Raphael Project as well as a new PG website, plus trying to finish my essays for the pgCert (STILL hanging over my head …deadline is the end of this year then I start the rest of the MA) and having family over to stay I suppose it's no surprise that time is whizzing by.
You can see from the last blog to this one how my hair has exploded too!! I'd been straightening it all along and it wasn't until I was on holiday when I let it do it's own natural thing that I discovered how easy it is – I've not had it like this since I was about 17 so had rather forgotten that products today are so much better than in the '80s and '90s!
I've had sooooooooo many tweets recently, thankfully 99.99% kindly commenting about my curls and I for one am chuffed with them as doing my hair now takes no more than two minutes! I just leave it to air dry, or use the Ego hair dryer (I've discovered it is great on curls!) then use Volumising Powder by HER and finish it all off with Percy & Reed hairspray ….fab!
I know some others of you are growing your hair with me – how are you getting on?? I think I might stop at this length! Oh by the way, thanks for all of you who tuned in for my Love Beauty show, it was fast and furious – next time I promise we will include more make up items as I know what we had sold out really quickly.
OK that's it from me, I'm off to sort THE kitchen drawer – you know the one I mean? The one with pens, pencils, old phones, rubber bands, playing cards, old cheque books, old store cards, business cards, sinex inhalers, badges, sellotape, glue, more pencils, highlighters, keys for goodness knows what…I'm not the only one am I?!
