Hello! How's your week been ?
Mine's been great, I had Ginetta (the Veronese guest) stay with me for a couple of days, we had great fun and it was great to show her my part of London, she loved my local Italian deli and the farmers market, which is where we are in the photo.
Another wonderful guest who is also a friend of mine is Justine. It was her birthday on Monday and, ahead of her evening seeing a show in the west end with her mum, I took her for lunch at her favourite restaurant and then we had cocktails at the bar in Harvey Nichols, very decadent but a rare treat and good fun. Hope you like the photo, aren't the chairs stunning?!
Other than catching up with friends, this has been a good old sort out week for me; I have had one of my regular declutters and sort outs, people always think this means throwing things out, which is actually not the case. Yes, I pass some things onto neighbours, family or charity but mostly its tidying things up, clearing piles of paperwork that build up and generally going through all areas of my flat and making sure things are well organised. A very helpful tool whilst doing this has been the Dyson DC54 that I have been trying out as it is the Today's Special Value this weekend. I really like Dyson as a brand and have to say this cylinder vac is one of my favourites, it's super powerful but small enough to store in my 1 and only cupboard! It's so light to move around and even though I do have a cordless vac I do find for a big spring clean or tidy up you need the power only a corded machine can give!
I have also decided that with my fitness has flatlined a little this year. I still work out and have been doing more yoga which is good but I really do need to get my activity level up. It's unlikely I will find more time to get to the gym or classes but just everyday moving is going to help. I have been trying out the Garmin Vivofit activity tracker to help me with this. Take a look at the video below where I tell you more. If you are a little more tech savvy and want a full, in-depth review, check out my detailed review for online tech magazine Technow here.
Finally, as It's Beauty Month here at QVC I am SO excited to be getting to try one of our newer ranges, Bio-Effect. There is such a buzz about this at QVC and generally in the beauty industry. I am blessed to have relatively good skin but do have issues with discolouration and unbalanced dry / oil combination so am dying to see if this works! Check out my video and follow my progress!
