One sure sign of spring at QVC is the arrival of none other than Richard Jackson!
I saw Richard last week in our dressing room area and it was a real boost. Every year, Richard (who is incidentally one of the nicest chaps you would ever wish to meet), breezes in around springtime like a breath of fresh air and it’s a great indicator that the weather is getting better, and sunshine is definitely on its way.
With the clocks going back this weekend it’s time to take stock of the garden and prepare to enjoy that extra ‘room of the house’, and with a little bit of care and attention the garden can become a real social hub for the whole family, as well as a great space for entertaining.
QVC is a great place to buy everything you need for your garden, and Richard will be with us all day on Saturday with a superb garden reclining chair offer which will feature as our Today’s Special Value, designed to help you relax, unwind and enjoy your outdoor space.
Have a look at our ‘Get set for spring’ feature on the website, there are some great ideas for the forthcoming season not only for the garden but also in terms of spring fashion and gorgeous beauty ideas to prime your skin ready for the change in the weather. Also if you pop ‘plants’ in the search bar you will see a huge selection of stunning plants and flowers from such pedigrees as Thompson and Morgan, Mont Rose and Claire Austin, all especially selected by QVC to make sure you get nothing but the best for your garden this year.
One little lady who is definitely enjoying the great our doors is our delightful Bailey.
She is now 15 months old and such a joy. I managed to take this snap as she was enjoying a little sniff of some daffodils. Hopefully Matt Trim will be proud of me, I think I’m going to enlarge it, maybe do something arty like keeping the daffodils yellow but have the print in black and white and definitely frame it. In the meantime I’m trying to keep Bailey away from a Today’s Special Value that is featuring next week…
On the stroke of midnight on the 1st of April I’ll be bringing you the start of our Eat Taste Love event with an incredible Today’s Special Value from The Original Cake Company, who make the most tantalising homemade cakes. I was lucky enough to be given one of the boxed cake hampers to try and oh my gosh, they are just the best cakes I have ever tasted!
The chocolate cakes are so rich and moist, and the fruit cakes are succulent and gooey! I’d highly recommend them, especially the traditional Simnel cake for when the family come over for Easter, they’ll be in for a gastronomic treat!
No doubt I’ll be munching away at midnight but I’d better save some room as I’ve seen that Brett is on the guest list and you know what that means? More pies!
