Gem Day is almost here…

GEM DAY LOGO Gem Day is upon us again and on Thursday I had the honour of meeting up with three groups of QVC customers at our 'Theatre of Gems' preview.

Judging by the customers' reactions to the gems on show at the event, it's going to be another exciting day on Monday. I'll be joining in at 8pm with an hour of Mozambique morganite, surely one of the most feminine gems around. Watch out for a lovely One Time Only Value piece – I'll say no more!

At 10pm please join myself and Jilly for the Grand Finale – we'll be looking back at some of the most popular items of the day together with new lines bought especially for the Finale. Two lines that took my eye were:-

Gemset half eternity stacking rings
0.1ct Gemstone Half Eternity Stacking Ring in 9ct White Gold WOW! These new rings are incredibly fine and delicate but really pack a punch visually. The tiny gems  (yes you can choose between white diamond, cognac diamond, blue sapphire, pink sapphire and ruby) are delicately set in 9 carat gold and can be worn individually or stacked high! The look is so effortlessly classy and the micro setting demonstrates incredible jewellery-making skills.

Brazilian Rose de France amethyst solitaire ring
5.2ct Brazilian Rose De France Amethyst Solitaire Ring in 9ct Rose Gold Boasts a huge 18mm x 9mm fancy briolette style oval cut solitaire set in 9 carat rose gold. The Rose de France has a wonderful pale lilac meets wisteria purple hue and the scroll detail on the shoulders adds further elegance.

So they may be my picks, (I wanted more – but they wouldn't let me !), but if they're not yours I'm sure there'll be something for everyone in our finale starting at 10pm.

Dale x

My friend and I attended the first Theatre of Gems preview last Thursday morning and had a wonderful time. The pieces of jewellery we saw and were able to handle were just magnificent and whetted our appetites for the shows today. It was lovely to meet you and Charlie and also two of your great models, Tanya and Sally. You were all so very friendly and approachable and your two gem experts were so helpful and knowledgable. Thank you so much to QVC for the invitation and for the ability to bring a friend which is great. The organisation was superb and we were offered lovely refreshments. Thank you Dale and QVC for a very special morning and for providing the opportunity to see and handle such beautiful pieces of jewellery. The earrings offered as the ticket price were just exquisite and I am sure that the lucky lady who won them was delighted. What a generous gift from QVC and a fabulous morning for all of us who were lucky enought to be invited. Many thanks, Sue

Susan, many thanks for your comments – great to meet you too. I love meeting our Customers at events like these, as they’re and not at all formal and it’s a nice relaxed environment to chat about anything including QVC ! Hope to meet you again sometime. Take care for now Dale x

I was trying to stay off this blog Dale, cos I don’t want to be considered a nuisance! But, I can see your ladies are struggling so ……….
Ladies, if Dale were a gem (and I know he is anyway), what do you think he would be? As it’s my idea, I bagsy first go. For me, it would have to be a flawless white diamond, all sparkling and dazzling and practically perfect in every way! (See, I can keep it clean if I try!)
C’mon Gail, don’t let me down.
    xxx

Marian, I’m sure nobody considers you a nuisance. You’re good fun and a real tonic for a fella the wrong side of 50 ! You might open up a can of worms now with your Gem suggestion ! I’d better blog again to deflect attention !! I came up with some self-deprecating ones myself, but thought it best not to go to print ! Dale x
p.s still awaiting your package – I’m back in on Wednesday hopefully it’ll be there then. Dx

Marian, what are you like? BAGSY – I haven’t heard that since school, ha ha xx
I won’t let you down Marian, here goes ……………
Marian I rise to the challenge
You are such a naughty girl
But if I could choose what gem Dale would be
That gem it would be a pearl
Perfectly formed and ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so smooth
    Rare and natural too
Yes, a pearl it would be from a tropical sea
Now Marian it’s over to you (will this do?)

Dale, I posted it first class last Monday to Marco Polo House. It was addressed to you and Charlie. Oh I hope it hasn’t got lost. Hopefully, it will turn up soon. If it’s anything like my place of work, it will be sat on someone else’s desk at the other end of the building! It’s a CD of a talking Hamster from my local radio show. I think it’s hilarious and I thought that you and Charlie would also enjoy it. xxx
Gail, that’s just fabulous. I knew you would rise to the challenge you clever girl. xxx

That naughty Dale, he doth play it cool
Leaving us here to pine and drool
Over images from his last few blogs
Of swinging from trees and that lucky Toby dog
Teasing us endlessly on the Wii Fit
Topped only by thoughts of him wiggling his wick
So hurry up Dale and give us a blog
Or even better still, give us a snog!
