Garking and barking…

Toby on his third birthdayHi all,

Just come back indoors following an hour or so 'Garking' – no, not barking – Garking, using the Golden Gark. I can heartily recommend it, it's a little multipurpose gem – particularly after the pine trees in our garden have dumped a couple of tons of needles – nice!

I created a handsome pile of needles very quickly with the Gark, turned around to get a bag, when a gust of wind re-deposited them from whence they came – "Oh bother", I cried and set about doing it all again (you can replace 'bother' with the word you think I may have used!). But I got there in the end.

Toby celebrated his third birthday on the 2nd. OK, he didn't actually have a clue or a celebration – but we did and gave him even more treats – he remains in great health apart from his bi-monthly ripped claw problems. But he deals with this like many other things, without much fuss and with his very good nature.

He continues to bring daily joy to our home. Unlike The England rugby team; as Sweet Charioteers, my son Jack and I were so disappointed with the team's performance, and Jack's day didn't improve when he damaged ligaments in his foot playing rugby later that morning – luckily, it wasn't too serious though.

So as England, Ireland and Scotland rue what might have been, Wales proudly carry our hopes into the Rugby World Cup semi finals – I had an inkling that it was to be a Welsh weekend when we launched a Clogau TSV pendant on Friday, and then they won the football that evening as well! Good luck to the Welsh Dragons!

I'm glad that the behind the scenes stories from our outside broadcasts seem in the main to have gone down well – I'll put my thinking cap on and try and recall some others – in fact as I type I'm thinking of the time I filmed in Poole Harbour (yes literally in the harbour) – but more of that next week. Marian it involves me in a wetsuit – so I want to make sure I remember it accurately, if only to win your support for the Silver Fox OB Blog!

Dale and Milagros Candela on the jetty at L’Albufera in ValenciaOh, before I forget just found this stunner of a pic with myself and Milagros Candela on the jetty at L'Albufera in Valencia (see Sept 22nd 'Christmas is coming' blog). I know I look like Jake the peg! But what a sunset!

There's another busy week ahead with Diamonique Day (Tues) and our fantastic Breast Cancer Care Charity Show (Weds). I loved your suggestions for an impromptu auction in the comments section of my last blog – hilarious!

Stay tuned and most importantly healthy and happy!

Dale x

Where’s Gail’s ‘tool’ comment gone? Oh no, you’ve not been edited by The Q have you sweetie?!!! Lol!! Don’t take it personal, it happens to the best of us!!!!
You were determined to get in before me on that one, lol! Anyhow, at the risk of also being edited ………… if you ask me, Daleo is lying again. It’s pretty obvious from his ‘Sunset in Valencia’ photo. ‘Third leg’ indeed! You’re right about one thing Dale, it’s a stunner!!!!!!!!
Never mind ‘Garking and barking’, Mr Tease, when are you and me going to go LARKING about in the woods??!! I asked you ages ago. You can bring that adorable Toby dog with you if you like, I bet he’s good at keeping secrets!! Happy 3rd birthday to that gorgeous boy. x
Rugby, football, blah, blah, blah, yawn, yawn, yawn, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ooooooooooo what was that about a wetsuit??!! That’s woke me up!! Don’t fret about ‘remembering it accurately’, I’m already there Dale’icious!!!!!

Daleo, I hope you’ve called the Blog Police as one of my comments has been ‘nicked’. It was probably because Rugby and Football were mentioned again; both of which can have a very funny effect on some people. Take me for instance, it can make me fall asleep within seconds Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Dale, you can give my name to the Blog Police as a Chief Witness cos I read Gail’s blog about your tool being a little multi purpose gem – your words not Gail’s !!!!!!!!!
And Dale, please make sure Ali knows that the choccies she got from Keeley (I watched the show where Keeley gave them to Ali on air) were meant for her. I love Ali loads and have learnt so much from her I reckon I owe her a chocolate factory! Your choccy box was a lot smaller Daleo – soz but I didn’t realise how much you loved choccies until you said on your last blog. Keeley says she gave them to someone to put in your dressing room.

Dale, it was very rude of me to make silly comments re the Football and Rugby as I know both you and your son are big fans. I definitely deserved to be edited and I’m very surprised you put my other comment up. I’m very naughty and I’ve definitely put my spade down now; I think I’ve dug myself a big enough hole, again. Lol xxx Lots of love Ma; loved your comments xxx

Hello Dale, so sorry to hear that you only had a small one (BOX oF CHOCCIES FROM MA THAT IS, KEEP UP, KEEP UP!!). Hello Ma, lots of love xx
Hello Rebecca, must admit I really don’t like any sport at all, except Daleo of course. He’s a great sport and that’s why we tease him so (have I crawled enough yet Dale to get back into your good books?). xx

    Hello Gail and Dale.
That’s a relief Gail that you’ve picked up your spade again cos I love reading your comments as much as you enjoy mine. Lots of love to you too xxx And I completely agree that Dale’icious is a great sport. Daleo, will you be slanking at the weekend?!!!!!

Hi again and thanks as always for your comments, cheeky though they may be! Just for the record I don’t edit any of your comments nor view them before they are posted – this is done by our highly competant team of copywriters, who I am sure would only remove comments if they thought offence may be caused. I am sure you’ll all agree they allow quite a high level of double-entendres through – Ooooh Matron! So please keep them coming and don’t be upset if the very saucy ones don’t make it!. Marian, I am indeed launching the new “Slanket” TSV with it’s inventor Gary at midnight(late Friday into Saturday) I’ll be sure to wear a pattern to amuse you !.
Now for that next blog of the fox

Daleo, Daleo, wherefore art though Daleo ????? (again!!!!).
I got up early specially to see you slanking and it was Charlie. I just know you would have worn the pink/leopard print!!! Hope everything’s ok.
And I do indeed agree that Q’s team of copywriters are extremely tolerant of my behaviour (and Gail’s – especially Gail’s!!!!!) I hope it gives them a laugh or three!

Daleo, I was very surprised that you don’t view the comments before they are printed…….. blimey, that’s a bit risky darling (as Ma would say). I too am surprised at some of the comments they let through, but I think they realise they are all sent as innocent banter and not at all meant to offend in any way, especially our Dale and family. Ma does encourage me though Dale!!!
Ma, how funny that you have a cat called Suki and I have a cat called Sui – spooooooooooooooooooky or what?
Dale, have you noticed how Ma’s really in to spanking; she mentions it quite a lot. Oops, there I go again, sorry, I mean slanking. I can arf dig them holes can’t I? I think I can hear the Blog Police coming, must dash, bye for now xx Enjoy your hols Dale x

You’re in for a right good spanking when the Blog Police catch up with you Miss Gail!!
And, do you mean to tell me that Dale has passed up the opportunity to slank in front of us to go on holiday ………. AGAIN!!!!! Red card Daleo ………. and that’s about as sporty as I get!!!
Anyway Gail, just how do you know Dale is on his hols??!! I tell ya, I’m convinced there’s some hanky spanky ……I mean panky ……. going on between you two!! And I’m sooooooooooooo jealous!!!
